Has anyone found a guard for the rear bumper, mine is getting scratched up pulling out my hockey bag. I had the crap OEM see-through one and it got damaged, now the paint is getting dinged. I am looking for one kind of like the plastic one on the XV.

It was so easy to replace the door speakers, and it doesn't take an expensive set to blow the stocks out of the water. As for making custom brackets, etc, it's not necessary. Neither is the soldering and rewiring. There are a ton of components with tweets that fit the stock mounting bracket and the wiring is already there. There is a wiring harness adapter that is available through Crutchfield and free with speaker purchase. Any 6.5" speakers will fit the doors. Hell, the wiring for the Kicker sub has already been run too! Subi makes aftermarket speaker upgrades super easy!

Unless you're installing amps on an active network. I suppose any car calls for more work with that though!

I thought the same thing. Too bad the solid color kits only go on the WRX and STI. Although, I kinda liked the Rosewood look I'd rather have the white or blue instead. I like his mesh grill set-up though too. May have to go with that, but I'm a bit of a hypermiler and have been planning on building and plasti-dipping some lexan air blocks to improve aerodynamics.

The wiring for the Kicker sub is already run?! :O I wonder what gauge the wiring is, and if an aftermarket sub could run off of it..

Does anyone happen to have a link to how to remove the door panels to swap the speakers? The dash tweeters seem real easy to do. I'm thinking of just doing the full Kicker 6-speaker setup, and adding an Alpine radio with their compact Power Pack amp. I don't need anything crazy, so that should be plenty fine.

Does anyone know if on the base models that come with a four speaker system, there is wires for the tweeters there or would i have to wire it up myself?

I'm almost positive I remember hearing the base models still had the wiring for the tweeters, you just buy them and pop them in.

In non related events, I purchased a new roof rack today. I didn't even get to a week without one. lol The car looks so naked, even with the rails. I really liked my Yakima Railgrab, but I didn't want to re-buy the same one again. Went for the Thule Crossroads square bars this time. It was actually even easier to install than the Yakima, and I love the beefiness of the square bars.

Wires are there. Supposedly the sub wiring is there already too.
