The install gear. Looks like extra linkages in the photos. talked to them a second ago. They are under the impression that our cars dont come with swaybars from the factory. the actual bar is the same

Has anybody changed the front sway bar? Does the stock STI front sway bar fit as well?

Just a quick note, 'cause I had a similar question a few years back when my '09 was new. Subaru cannot "void" your warranty. It is what it is. What they can do is reject a warranty claim based on some aftermarket part that you install IF they can show that the part caused the problem.

If you research and pick your parts well and are sure to get them installed correctly, you shouldn't have a problem.

This is kind of not and yet kind of related to this thread... what's the fastest you guys would take a left turn in an intersection (say the light's turning yellow) without risk of either just sliding out or rolling over? And would springs increase that speed significantly?

Humidity really plays a factor as well.

45. I'll show you the specific turn where I go by sometimes going home from work.

http://goo.gl/maps/Cs2f

bottom most road (36) farthest left turn lane, onto HT
I've been in a friend's TT when they've gone 50+ around it, of course that was perfect conditions... and a TT lol.

Also, would real tires make much of a difference compared to the eco crap they stick on them from the factory, or would springs be a better investment?

So your question was serious? you seriously asked how fast can our cars take a corner? well hell man go out there and give it a shot increase by 5 mph each time and when you hear screatching dont push it any more. What are you 16?

God **** of all laziness, I've posted several billion times that I'm visiting family for another 3 weeks now, I've had the car for like a week, and I can't exactly drive it from 4,000 miles away. The closest I've gotten to traction loss is having to tear the **** out of a gravel road in between 2 small hills, and a big ass Cadillac came barreling over at 70 on a 55 road. If I had RWD or FWD i'd be dead atm.

And no I'm 15. (hint: this is the joke part)

Edit: Hey if I was 16 I would probably be trying to go around corners at 80mph right now, I wouldn't be a ***** and ask first.

moar edit: I'd imagine this sounds less retarded to you so here goes the asking, once again... tires or springs make more of an overall difference in driving?

The base '12 Impreza does not have a rear sway. I have not checked personally, but others have stated on the 2012 Impreza thread. It seems as though I can buy the perrin STI rear sway with a set of linkages. It should work...the hardware and linkages could not justify the $200 price difference between the two.

Just checked the Perrin website...
http://www.perrinperformance.com/sub...ks-psp-sus-235
Looks like the hardware DOES justify the $200 price difference

ill answer your question with another question. What has direct contact with the road? But no tire is going to give you traction on gravel.

Their hardware better stay shiny for that price...send Perrin a picture of your premiums' stock rear sway Have you done anything to your car? Do you have pictures?

I wasn't asking **** about gravel, people were saying retarded irrelevant things so I did the same. And I wasn't asking specifically about traction, but I'm too tired to give a **** enough to argue right now.

I'd feel comfortable doing 20mph for a 90 degree turn, think I could easily do a bit more, 30mph or more would be scary. The car won't roll over unless you slam into a curb or something, but it will probably understeer. I went way too fast through a tight roundabout once and I was pretty suprized at how stable and flat it was.

Yeah the boxer obviously has a really low center of gravity, in addition to it being light and small in the first place. I might get some new springs then see how fast I can go on a clover at some point if I ever make it home.

Im pretty sure thats is argueing. Let me know how those springs work out. i was told by the dealership that springs would void a suspension warrenty issue
