So much irony.

Also you should learn to search because they can't void the warranty unless they can prove it damaged whatever you're making a claim for.

I recommend getting a retrofit project kit from the retrofit source. Here are the D2S installed.

this is kind of a dumb question, but has anyone replaced their stock license plate lights with LEDs? want that hyper white look the cadillacs have.

I bought some from Amazon. PIAA brand. They are nice but not as bright as the ones on the lexus.

Has anyone had any issues with the rear bumper melting/damaged from doing a muffler delete?

lol, yup. I had the muffler off for a day, put on a short exhaust finisher, but it was pointed straight at the rear bumper... drove 10 miles, and by the time I got home I smelled melted plastic. Took it off right away, and made a new exhaust finisher that points down to the road, no issues since. It's not noticeable unless you are under the car though.

One thing that is somewhat funny is that it popped out the tow hook cover, and of course those are going to be impossible to find for a while.

The exhaust I bought and had welded.

How its going to possible look like once I put it on.

Example of how it would look by jmaiden91184, on Flickr

Is the the second picture how your set up was originally? I might spray some plasti dip around the area (rear bumper)so it can absorb some of the heat and hopefully prevent the plastic from melting.

That's a picture of my car....I have had that setup for quite some time without any issues or plastic being melted.

Comparing it now I noticed you have more of a "J" shaped. It has more of a curved at the beginning of the pipe. Rather than the middle

Aerial View by jmaiden91184, on Flickr

After looking at it I might run into an issue with my pipe because of how far it extends.

It does look like it extends out quite a bit from the flange. Test fit it and if its too close to the bumper then you'll know what you have to do

What brand of air filter would all of you recommend? Keep hearing horror stories of **** lining the intakes when you use K&N filters.

Edit: something like this good for 6 months living on a gravel road?

Test fitted it and it is way too long. I don't know whether to cut the entire pipe and have it look like a 2-3 inches stub or find a way to bend the pipe...

2-3 inch stub.

Stub by jmaiden91184, on Flickr

My next issue how did you remove the exhaust brackets?

Exhaust Bracket by jmaiden91184, on Flickr

Did you use a mallet and hammer the black rubber piece that holds both metal pieces to the left?

I dont think you should cut it. You don't want to lose the length and risk exhaust gasses getting inside the car. Any muffler shop should be able to take of it. Removing the exhaust off the hangars isn't too hard. You'll want to spray the portion that goes through and then use a long crow bar to pry them free.

1. Spary with what? Or did you mean spread?
2. Pry to the left or right first?

Sorry about that..you'll want to spray the hangars with wd-40 or pb blaster. As far as starting in the left or right...doesn't matter really.

Just get a muffler put on by a shop and delete the resonator, sound so much deeper.

Do you have a video clip. I'd like to hear what it sounds like without a resonator

Unfortunately I don't have a video camera and cell phone don't give it enough justice. Someone here did a YouTube . First with resonator then with out.

Standard cross bar for all the different subbies? Let us know how you like it when you receive it.

I was at the Big Northwest Subaru meet today, and I didn't see any 2012 Impreza's except one other and it was the sedan and it was that (not my favorite color) light blue or something.

I got the Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (D2S) off of the retrofit source, I got a buddy to help me with it. You got to take the bumper off to remove the lights, bake the lights and open them up, and then you would blackout/paint the chrome inside, do some cutting, install the shrouds, slot in the projectors, put in bulbs, connect ballast, harness, and relay, put lights together, install in car. Those would be most of the steps.

I'll upload some new pictures tomorrow, I have them installed in car now.
