Did you notice any significant decrease in body roll over the 19mm unit?

No worries, I ordered a wix. It's time to change it anyway after 17.5k

The new XV hybrid LED tail lights look so much nicer than the current one. That would be a great upgrade if it's available next year.

I would say so. The front feels a little squirrely now. The rear is super stiff

What exactly does a backstage pass for Subaru give you? Is there a stage presentation? Obviously the NYC show is bigger than in Buffalo, but there's no back stage here.

i would hate the fuel economy of the hybrid personally considering what I squeeze out of the 5spd imp.

Quote:
The hybrid model is expected to get 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. This isn’t a huge jump from the gas model’s 25/33 mpg rating; the hybrid’s 300-pound weight gain probably doesn’t help

I can only see the benefit of a hybrid if it either makes more power or gets much better fuel economy, this one does neither, so not a big gain for the cost (assuming they charge more). It will probably only be available as a CVT also...

yeah i suggested in crosstrek thread might as well just slap that drivetrain into the cvt imp for a 40mpg, maybe that will make the cvt get its epa numbers at any speed

FWIW, in the News thread, someone mentioned that these are with the new, revised EPA testing method due to the Kia fiasco.

So in other words, the numbers would probably be a little higher if it were using the same test as the '12/'13 Impreza

Anyone know of a good strut tower barce for the 2012 impreza that might cost less then the $350 the OEM one cost? I saw a convo earlier in this thread about it but that is a year or two old now and doesnt seem to be accurate anymore. I thought now that body style is going into its 3rd year of existance that there would plenty of options but all I find is pre-2011 parts. Any tips/help is appreciated.

Default Strut Tower Brace

I am trying to find a strut tower brace that might cost less and work just as well as the one subaru sells for $350+. Does anyone know of a strut tower brace for the 2012 impreza? I looked at a previous convo in this thread but because that is a year or two old now no longer seems to be accurate. Any tips/help would be appreciated. All I can seem to find is parts for the impreza pre-2011. I thought because this body style is now going into its 3rd year ther would be more options.

I have the Cusco (200.00US) and I have heard that some Perrin units fit our Imprezas also. Ebay also lists a few generic strut tower braces...

You are selling one private sale? or know where they are sold? Do you have a link for where they sell the cusco? Because I have seen a lot about that brand but cant find the right part anywhere.
