Default 2001 RS Parts on 2002 RS

Ok this may seem like a very broad, general question...but here goes. Do most 2001 2.5RS mods fit on a 2002 2.5RS, if so which ones do and don't.

Everything should fit but the axle back part of the exhaust...there's a hanger that needs moved.

in the low power range it doesn't make much of a difference. But once you hit about 3000 rpm you can feel the increased power...slightly. Before the intake, i would hit low 90's in fourth gear...after the intake, i can hit in the low hundreds in fourth gear but thats kinda pushing it. Sound-wise it's nice, barely hear it at low throttle...but give it gas and you can really hear it hum, especially in third and fourth gear. And like i posted before... NO CEL!!!!

On a related note, i have a question. A friend just told me that after putting in an intake you should disconnect your battery so that your cars computer can reset and adapt to the new ratio, is this true and necessary?

?? Maybe I mis-understood what you are trying to say . . . but speed is related to gear ratio, not engine performance. By installing intake, you can't change the speed at certain RPM in certain gear.

True... The CAI doesn't change gear ratio but it helps in slightly pushing the airflow so i do get slightly more speed. And sorry i really didn't quite word the last post the way i meant to. It gave me more power so i got to 100mph quicker in 4th than i did before.

Jasona do you have thr WeaponR intake installed in your car? If so how does it perform. I honestly didn't know WeaponR made an intake that fit in the subaru TS, or RS

i have the weapon r intake. when my car was stock my average time at our 1000ft dragstrip was 14.2, with a best of 13.7. after the intake and a universal muffler my average time went to 13.1, with a best of 12.8. thats a second gain from just intake and a universal muffler, i really didnt even expect it to make a difference at all, so i was impressed.

i dont know how it performs compared to other aftermarket intakes, as far as i see it, after the drivetrain loss, any small differences in power between brands is not enough to make a difference.
