Default 2014 Audi B8 S4

It's been a few years since I updated anything here, but sadly the BMW M5 got into a wreck when someone ran a red light, totalling a Honda in front of me and damaging my car making it a write off in the process. I went thru a couple transitional cars and then last year decided to get something I wanted for a while, a gunmetal gray Audi S4.

When I picked it up new from the dealership

B7 generation was the last 4.2 V8, B8 started with the 3.0 supercharged. The upcoming B9 generation confirmed to use the same supercharged engine.

Gorgeous. I've always liked the way they looked but never could grow the balls to jump into the German world. Deathly afraid of reliability and repair costs...

I got a Fit as a daily and will be looking for a fun car once some things are paid off.

I bought the S4 as my daily but am now leasing a Fiat 500 electric car as my daily, and my lease payment per month costs less than my monthly gas bill.

Keeping the miles low on the Audi for the next few yrs.

So envious. Before I picked up the WRX I was looking to trade my '11 STI in on a slightly used 2012-2014 S4's. But in the end, the wife convinced me to keep things on the cheaper end, for now.

Looking forward to dyno #'s and more pics.

Amazing. Love the color. Interior sets it above similar cars in its class in my opinion.

Did vinyl wrap of all my chrome trim around windows and foglamp inserts to reproduce the black optics package look, however I wanted to retain the alu mirror covers because I love that feature of S cars. Dislike how black optics S cars have color matched mirrors taking away that distinctive feafure

Changed the RS4 grille to a more OEM accurate one, and stock S4 front badge finally mounted, stock rims back on with all-seasons for the winter season

The B8/B8.5 S4 are super reliable.
Way more so than any sti or wrx.
I looked into getting one, but they were slightly out of my price range (30 or less).

AFAIK the 3.0 supercharged drivetrain is pretty bulletproof with proper maintenance, both manual and DSG boxes are solid as well.

It's all the little things (electronics) that can add up when things go wrong.

But I've never heard of the V6 motor having carbon buildup issues or timing chain failures.

Still curious about those dyno numbers. Been looking at S4's again and curious to see a ballpark of what to realistically expect for WHP from the v6 supercharged.

It's not so much of an issue with the newer Audi's, matter of fact I'm probably getting into a B8.5 this September.

I live in FL, all of our roads are flat and straight and I drive 45 mins each way for work. I'll just be happy with the quiet cabin.

That's cool, in that case try to find a car w the B&O stereo option. The factory speakers sound a bit poop.
