Hey XERO, thanks for the kind words!!
It's not all about the camera, good editing goes a long way... You'd be surprised how many pictures are in this thread that were taken on my iPhone

Your car shots look great, I just saw them last night on another post. What are you shooting and editing with?

Thanks! I'm surprised by phones these days, all of the pre-made processing on the apps are pretty wild!

I use a T1i with Lightroom.

I really don't have the patience for PS anymore especially when Lightroom is so simplified now. I only use PS to take things out of pictures, but I'm not really good with even that XD.

Nice job dude. Are you going to do a write for the wrap? Maybe give us an idea of how much work it takes from disassembly to completed job.

I did the hood as a test to see if I think I can do the dash. I can probably do the entire dash in one yard piece which is about $100 worth.

If the hood holds up well I take a crack at the dash. Maybe in a couple weeks. I'm also still working on a pod for the gauges on the top of the dash, I need to finish that first.

Thanks!

I'll give it a shot over the weekend, the pictures do a lot of talking but I can write something up if you guys would like. It was a real pain in the A** to do but it's a nice touch, I like it!

looks great!! how was it getting around the corners and bent edges? Would love to do mine but i'm guessing it'll be harder cuz the smy cluster pods have alot of curvature area's around the pod.

Whats next the center console/shifter console? (i'm pushing you to do that first since thats what I want to wrap first )

Great build thread! Our cars are almost identical. I didn't realize that when we were talking about the exhaust in the other thread.

It was a pain in the butt, I can see why JPM does a stitch around the edge. It must keep the stress off the corners. I was able to get it around smoothly but I had to do it 3 or 4 times before I got it perfect.

I'm going to run into a busy couple weeks ahead so I might have to delay doing the console but that is going to be the next piece. I'm doing the top in Steel Gray and the bottom half in Black to keep the same look as factory but with Alcantara.

Hey Man, It was fun but I took the Fiances car instead... Better gas mileage, haha. Then came back and spent the day yesterday detailing her car. It's nice to split the trips up between each car and she's got a nice Mazda 3 white hatch so it's fun to drive too!

I got back under the car to take a look at the system again and I noticed that the bolt that bolts the downpipe up to the hanger hanging from the transmission case basically determines how midpipe sits on the car no matter how much you budge it and try to re-align it since the midpipe is doesn't have any hangers holding it up.

So i loosen that up and re-aligned it to where the bolt was sitting directly in the middle and leaning more towards the right of the hanger if you're facing it and tighten it back down and played with the rubber hangers again and it's been good since, no rattling issues anymore.

The rattling was so bad because the resonator was resting on the chassis that there was a small burnt hole where the resonator was resting up against the chassis so good thing I got down there and took another look before it burned through something haha.

I'll post it up in the exhaust thread again later for anyone having the same issue so they'll see if that helps them cause it sure helped stopped the rattling for me.

Here's a picture of the hanger I'm talking about...

Yeah, a little practice and I was able to get it to form the way I wanted too. I'm anxious to do the dash but I can't wait to see the finished results.

I think if this weather stays the way it has been I'm afraid to see what summers going to bring for us. I flew out of Portland today to San Francisco and it was 84 when I left. Now it's 50 on the west coast

Damn, glad you got that figured out! I wonder why you had an alignment issues with that front bracket. I checked yesterday and my bolt is centered in the middle. I wonder if it's sitting a little crooked coming off the turbo??
Either way it's all good now!!
