I'm super excited, they will be here on Wednesday but I have some other things that I wanted to take care of before the wheels go on. Also, the weather was so nice last week but now they are calling for snow at the end of the week so if they salt the roads it'll be a while before I get them on

I'm also doing my own fender roll tomorrow too, I'm SOOOOO not excited about that but I'll get it done...

I was going back and fourth with every wheel combination out there and I can't believe I finally settled on the Rota. It's the practical version of the Advan's I really wanted but couldn't justify the price tag. Now I have money for an STI Brake upgrade

Pictures will be up soon!

Below is one of my new additions to the protect and polish mood I've been in lately. I was upset with the amount of road grime, sand and salt the caked my coilovers this winter so I took some ideas from Xluben and Google to help with the procedure. They took a couple hours to do but they came out really well and I hope they do the job.

Here is the finished picture but the full write-up is HERE

Hahahah, yeah I had some extra time so I tackled it...
It was one of the tougher pieces only because it's painted and I didn't strip the paint off before gluing. After my first attempt the spray glue ate the paint off and left nothing to stick too. I had to peel it off and strip the glue, then cut a new piece of material. I came out well and looks great!

I'm working on a a new interior shot now. I'll post it soon!

Haha, one at a time.... This might take awhile

I didn't take a full car shot before I took them off. We're getting a little snow tonight and tomorrow so I didn't want the road salt to beat up the spokes that stick really far out

Man I love these wheels, so much nicer in person. The color is amazing!!

Gunmetallic FTW! Looks so good on SWP. Also interested in how the console looks, I have the same JPM stuff you do, if it goes together well I might consider taking this project on.

I was so surprised buy the color... I was expecting something close to the OEM color.
I originally wanted this exact wheel in Bronze but I wasn't able to get enough people with interest to do a group buy but I'm glad I didn't, this color has a sweet dark brown tone with a slight pearl. A real deep rich color!

I was in the same boat when I got my gunmetallic gravels. I was thinking the color would be close to OEM, at first I wasn't thrilled with the bronzish tint in the light, but it has grown on me a ton since. Really contrast great with the White. Where did you get that Alcantara from?

Thanks man!
I've been getting the Alcantara from JPM Coachworks, It's the only place I've been able to find it and Alex has been really helpful and supportive with any questions I've had about doing it myself.
I know they are the best at the Impreza interior but to save money I've taken tips from them and have been doing little pieces here and there to get good enough to do the dash!! I can't wait to tackle that one!

Do you have pictures of your car with gravels? I'm looking to do them for my winter setup next year, probably in white but I love the look of them.
I would have done them for a summer wheel if they were available in 18x9.

I have a few. I'm in the middle of installing my koni's/swift springs now so the car looks retarded sitting so high. The 8.5 width is plenty for me, although I wish offset was more in the +40 range instead of +44.

Looks nice!! Are you cutting you front struts for the Koni's?
I'm debating whither or not to go to Springs/Koni and pulling the Coilovers.

Thanks bro. Looks like I am going to have to cut the stockers. TIC was trying to track down a set of spare housings for me but they haven't had any luck. I was hoping to preserve the stock front struts just in case but probably not going to happen. I have the rears installed already and the drop is perfect. Not an extreme drop but enough to make it not look like a monster truck. Ride should be great as well compared to coilovers

That sucks that TIC couldn't come trough. I remember talking to you about that a couple weeks ago.

The coilovers are great but for the daily commute it's a little harsh. I would just have to find the right springs so the car sits at the same height where it is now.

Are you driving it with the rear down and the front up? Hahaha...

Yes yes I sure am Ghetto to the max. Will hopefully change that this Sunday if I can get off the ship.

Swift's probably won't bring it as low as you are now. Maybe rce yellows but they would be harsh as well, I think H&R's would probably be a good choice. Now go install that center console and take a pic!

Hahahaahaa, o-------0

Do you know anything about the RCE/Bilstein setup? I wonder what the drop is on those?
They weren't available when I was looking to do my suspension but I hear a lot of people are using them.

I researched them quite a bit and decided against them based on the reported harsh ride. They utilize 330ish lb springs (yellows) with a nonadjustable very firm shock. Rsutton has them on his hatch and it doesn't look like they dropped the car much. Not nearly as much as yellows on stock struts it seems.

I spoke to TIC about them as well and they said the ride would be pretty firm for a daily driver. The Koni/spring setup is quite a bit cheaper too. TIC has the konis available for 650 now if the sale is still going on. I'll pm you a pic when the fronts are done and you can get an idea of height
