Thanks J,

That cut along the cup holder was damn near impossible! There is no lip there to guide the trim so I exhausted myself trying to match the same cut as the front coin tray, my nerves are still shot from trying not cut it crooked or have to double cut it.
I did just find out that the cup holder section was just $26 to replace so I feel better about putting it back to stock if it didn't work out or look good.
Interior pieces are so cheap for this car!

You should DO IT!!!

Isn't he great?!? I don't know if he knows me well enough by name but we had some great conversations in the new design of the console lid cover. I was able to help out with the install write-up for it and since then I've always recommended members to him.
What are you plans with the material, you'll be surprised how much you can do with 1 yard.

Nice shots. I like the last one. Is that the 135L?

What size tires? They look a hair stretched.

Hey Ben thanks! Yeah it's the 135L but with a 1.4x extender on it so it's around a 190 f/2.8

And the tires are 255's but that was the first thing I noticed when I got them, I was not too happy about the slight stretch look, especially since I don't need the space in the wheel well. I'm stuck with them for at least this season but the next set will be 265's
Even my Fiance came home from work and walked in asking if they were stretched, Grrrr

I wonder if it's a Continental thing or just the wrong size. I would have sworn that I've seen tons of 255 on a 9" wheel and they look fine. Ehhh, you live you learn, lol

Are yours 9" wide or 9.5"? I thought the Rota's were usually 9.5". I have 9" wide wheels with 255 series Star Specs, and they aren't stretched like that. Although Star Specs are known to run wide.

Yeah they're 9" I got them here. I wanted to stay away from 9.5" because I thought the 265 was the perfect fit for that wheel and I didn't want to worry about running a lot of camber just to stick a bigger rim on the car. I guess it's just a Continental thing, I had the choice to run the Star Specs but I went Conti because my winter extremes are Conti's and they were excellent. It's not that badly stretched at all but it's not really what I was expecting.

Here's the 235 winter tire next to the 255 summer, sad how little difference the width is.

Interesting that you got a little bit of stretch. I had stretch on the 255's on 9.5 that was fixed with 265 PSS's but those are WIDE in comparison with other brands.

The stretch isn't bad though. Can't even tell in the pictures but I know what you are saying. I hate any stretch too. Each tire brand and model fits a little bit differently. Love the setup though...looks great.

Thanks Robb, I'm searching through Google now trying to find other Conti's on 9" to see if it's something I overlooked. Looking at the thread pattern seems like the tire isn't very square to begin with. I'm thinking the PSS will be my next set of tires but at the rate I'm going it'll be 2 years before these wear out. Thankfully it's minor and the stretch police won't be flagging me down, haha

Wheels look good Jason. Is it me or does the front look a little higher then the rears? Might just be the angle of the shot playing tricks on my eyes.

What do you use to cut the alacantra with? Exacto knife? Looking great as always!

Still waiting for my car and just can't recall wether the pillars are plastic or covered in light fabric. If the later, did you remove the fabric or lay the suede over? Also, will you treat the suede for UV protection or does it naturally resist fading? Good luck with the headliner (I'm guessing that's next...). Can't wait to see the finished interior!

I'm planning to do the same things you did, and we'll see where I go with what is left. Maybe the A-pillars but not sure how the gray will look

Hey Cliff, thanks!

The car is slightly raised in the front because the wheels are turned in the pictures which lifts the front a bit. It's sitting flat, no worries

The Alcantara is just sprayed with #90 glue and a razor blade. The tough corners were hit with a hairdryer to soften the plastic before I sprayed the glue.

It's getting easier but still scares me every piece I do. The tough part is you only do the same piece once so you can only learn somethings from your mistakes.

Hey Gil,

The pillars are plastic from the factory so I just surface prep them with alcohol and spray the glue down.
The good thing about Alcantara is that it is UV Protected. Since it's not actually suede it will never fade are loose color. That's also why Lambo, Ferrari, Maserati, and Aston Martin use it in all their interiors. Also why it's $100 a yard

It's a real nice change form the plastic, in the picture below you don't realize how much the stock pillars stick out until someone points them out to you. The dark grey looks so sweet against the windshield.

The trouble is that now all I want to do is the headliner and I'm not quite ready for that one!!

I'll do the dash before the roof, that for sure...

Nice job on the interior. I'm surprised you have resisted the urge to go with an aftermarket shift knob. Any reason?

Thanks man!
I've tried three different knobs since I got the car but just can't find one I like. The Cobb stayed the longest but I eventually went back to stock. They all feel goofy to me.
I'm hoping to get good enough at sewing to wrap my knob in Alcantara, I just cant enough of that stuff, lol. Also, metal knobs are always cold in the morning

Well it seems like your not afraid to throw some decent coin at your sweet ride, so something like this:
http://lathewerks.com/shop/product_i...products_id=93

might fit your bill. I'm still with the stock shift knob after 2 weeks and a Cobb short shift/bushings and its not so bad really, but I know it can only get better with a quality weighted knob.

That knob is pretty sweet! I don't know if it's enough to tip my scales into wanting to try another knob but WC makes amazing products!!

We'll see, it hasn't bothered me yet but now that you mentioned it....... Haha
