Awesome, I'm dying to go to Acadia, I've been here for three years and have never made the trip up there. Maybe this will give me a good excuse to finally go. Hope to see you around!

Remember to torque the banjo bolt on your brake lines, if you forget you might end up in the woods like I almost did. Thank god for the e-brake! whewww...
Time to re-bleed the entire brake system again

Luckily I was able to get home quick enough to spray the fluid off of everything before it got too bad. The caliper will need to be re-finished on the backside and the wheel only lost a really small amount of paint on the inner lip. For now it's fine but I'm hoping it doesn't start to slowly peel back over time. Small price to pay for not being thorough...

Sparco or Bride racing seats? Maybe you're not even into racing seats but it's worth a shot

I'm thinking that would definitely be my next engine mod along with the TGV deletes. I go back and fourth but can't decide If I should go EL or UEL?
Also if I get an EL, do I get one with an uppipe attached or just get a header with a grimmspeed upppie with an external wastegate. If I go grimmspeed uppipe and wastegate, what header does it bolt up to?

Too may questions....

Do you want it to pass emissions inspection? If yes, stay internally gated. If you don't care, go external I suppose.

I too have the PW TMIC and Cobb SF Intake & Airbox. I didn't want to go CAI for fear of hydrolock so that kept me with short ram and top mount. And I get my car inspected at the dealership so I'm staying internally gated. Same with my catted TurboXS downpipe. I wanted to pass inspection and reduce emissions as much as possible while still improving performance.

I mean, keep in mind there are some things that are prolly just better for a daily driver over others. As you've already stated a couple times in this journal.

It's too important to me to keep the signature boxer rumble. I'd rather give up a few horsepower to keep the rumble. It just gives me too much satisfaction when driving. It's what I like so much about the exhaust note over my previous car R32 (VW) and other tuner cars like the EVO. The rumble is where it's at. Is the extra horsepower out of an EL that much more important to you?

I think Ben is a great example of an externally gated setup and Robb is a good example of a internally gated set up. And Robb stuck with UEL with good results.

Good luck!

Do not over think the header options.

The standard 2 bolt flanged headers i.e. GTSpec, Invidia, Perrin, AP, etc. either include a standard uppipe or pair perfect(obviously) with a 2 bolt flanged uppipe (Grimmspeed, GTSpec) that have EWG options. Killer B, Full Race headers are not flanged for typical EWG uppipes. However, they are full header+ UP combos, EL, and produce gains.

If you want to comply with emissions invest appropriately. An EWG does not compromise daily drivability at all. EL headers ARE worth any gains... The sound is still quite signature, and respects the original rumble, it's just the remix version (both subjective opinions).

Wants, needs, budget, no matter... Compare the variables and decide what you'd enjoy most.

Would the KillerB header be a little overkill for my setup? Any downsides to it, cause that thing is sweet!

unfortunetly, price. But you get what you pay for. I was gonna go this route, but got a killer deal on a UEL.

First off, simply beautiful Overland!!!!! Also thinks for this build thread, these types of things are what I believe the forum community is all about. Have a question for you. In the first picture, what buld are you running in the headlight? It appears to have a slight white/blue tint, is that just from the camera or the bulb? Thanks.

Hey Man,
Thanks for the kind words, I'm a big believer in giving as much back to the community as I can. If it wasn't for the members that gave their time and energy into their threads, I would be lost. I've spent endless hours using other threads to help me so I feel it's only right to give back.

Also, yeah factory HID's.

Sold the OEM wheels today. I'm bummed the rejects at the tire shop took a nice chip out of one but they have been given a new home to a NASIOC member.

And was playing with some shots on the way back from dropping the wheels off.

Thanks! I've ran the tires last year, they worked well enough to get me anywhere I needed to go. The rims are 17x7.5 +43
The skinny tire setup would totally perform better but I'm digging the look of the wide setup. I'm a sucker for looks over performance, lol...
