Two thumbs up!!! So if you didn't roll the fenders, would this set up rub?

Yupp, these are just about to hit and my only fear is in the front. there isn't that much room for snow build up so hopefully I don't pickup any ice chunks or else I might rip my fender liner off... I may raise it up a tad to be on the safe side.

At least with this setup I'm actually excited to run the winter wheels. It's usually a bummer but I like the look if these, it's not a huge downgrade for 7 months...

Wow, those white wheels look excellent on your car! I really like that.

I'm (hopefully) going to be running stock wheels for winters this year.

Thanks man, They're actually the same wheels I put on my fiance's car and I really liked them so I gave it a shot to run them in white. They are a little too white for the SWP but in time they'll fade hopefully to match.

Did you sell your stock wheels or do you still have them?

Jason,

Stupid question - is there a reason why the Assetto Gara are so cheap? Would they not be a good summer wheel? I'm digging them.

Hey Chris,
I have no idea, they just came out over the winter and I've had them on my fiance's car for a couple months already and they are awesome. They seem close to the same weight as my stock wheels and have been holding up great on her car. I got them as well because there are white, cheap, strong and look great. So far the quality seems up to par with much more of an expensive wheel.

I got my whole set shipped for $600, couldn't beat it!

That is pretty awesome - I'm thinking the matte graphite silver wouldn't look too shabby on my silver wrx. The 08 stockers are quite ugly. Wish they came in 17x8!

Yeah 17x8 would be great! I'm running spacers to push them out a lot but I think they look pretty sweet

R.I.P. Chris Schoen-Kiewert from EFI
I'm a little late on the news but man, this is a terrible tragedy. He was one of the best turners I've ever met with an impeccable reputation in this community.

Him and EFI are the heart beat behind more then half the subie/evo's out there!
I'm so thankful that I was able to experience such talent and kindness for him before he passed away.

You will be missed but not forgotten!!

For the Brembos you'll need at least a 3mm spacer for the stock wheels to fit and the Sparco wheels need roughly 7mm to fit.
I ran the 25mm for three reasons. One was to clear the Brembos, two for a wider look and three because it's easier to run the 25 then 3,5,10 or 15mm
The 25mm is a bolt on and doesn't need to remove and re-stud the hubs. I went the easy route

Yupp, Ichiba version 2's. I got them off another member here a couple weeks ago and for the price, they are great!
It's definitely something to get used to driving wise but so far, I like 'em
