I'm not sure but you're the second person that told me that since I installed them. I wonder it's how flush the wheels sit to the fender and/or the slightly taller tire because of the 235's on a 7.5" rim.

We'll see if changing over to my summer wheels next month make a difference.

The fronts are internal, so they're bump stops but you just can't see them.
The rears come with bump stops which don't have to be cut at all if your using their black or yellow springs. If you use anything lower than 25mm, then you'll have to cut a section down on the rear.

I feel better knowing that about the fronts too
Good deal! I wondered if they might be internal but hadn't gotten around to emailing RCE. I feel better as well.

Just curious, what is your fender to hub distance? You look to be a little lower but I'm not sure if it's the spacers and tall tire like you mentioned.

I have a couple pm's that need that same answer so I think I need to find a flat surface to measure today. Without having a garage, everywhere I've tried to measure, it all comes out uneven.

Ill try to do it this morning.

I was glad to know about the bump stops too being internal. I haven't thought about it until you and Ben asked and then I got worried. All good now!

For the price, they're great. Solid, light(ish), and they look great. Cool colors available if desired.
Keep in mind they are SUPER white. Almost Ice white when clean. They definitely don't match the pearl white at all. When really clean I have to edit the color to match better in photos.

Bah. Well that's unfortunate. Any thoughts on the gold, then?

I got around to taking some Hub to Fender measurements today.

Looks like:

Drivers Front - 13.125
Passenger Front - 13.125
Drives Rear - 13.200
Passenger Rear - 13.200

Less than 1/16th of rake front to rear. Also, this is with a gas light on so it's a bit taller than it was from the shots in the above post.

The gold is really nice too, my favorite is actually the pink but I don't think I can pull it off, lol
The gold is a little lighter in color than the 04 BBS STi wheels but still nice!!

I was wondering how they matched so well. Your editing makes your car look close to Aspen White. I love it. I want to edit all my photos to make my car Aspen White. Who needs custom paint jobs anyway?

Those heights seem a bit lower than others running the same setup, by .25" give or take, I wonder why.

Really?
I haven't looked at others to compare but wow, that's a significant difference. I just filled the car back up with fuel. Ill see in the morning if it went any lower, it's close to an extra 80 lbs.

Haha, yeah sometimes I got a little nuts with editing but I do miss having a super white car like I used to have. The SWP is beautiful but can look too creamy next to a bright white car.

So the front bump stop is internal, how about the rear? did you reuse the stock one or it comes with one?

They came with new ones. They were under the dust boots in all my pictures but they're there.
Didn't have to reuse anything besides the top hats.

On the fronts, yes. Rear, no...
Rears come with new ones.

When reusing the fronts, make sure you slide them down all the way until they're seated. If not, you can easily pinch them in the top hat when tightening every thing together.

Thanks man, glad you took the time to read through it!

Just finished a 1000 mile ride over the weekend and it was great on the new suspension. What a difference!!

Quick question regarding the front lip, did you need to drill any holes into the bumper for the lip install or did you just use the existing holes?

Hey Mike,

I had to drill some smaller holes in mine to make it fit tight. There are a few on the side that use the factory clips but the rest require some drilling.

Nothing too harmful, just small holes less than 1/8"

Thanks! Just about to order the lip sometime soon... like today or tomorrow lol. The front bumper looks so plain without the lip.

Was this setting recommendation from Myles specific to your car (since you are also running RCE spring and struts), or is this the general best practice? I have RCE front and rear sways and black springs going on soon and would like to know the best settings for the sways. Thanks.

It was a specific statement for a Daily Driver / Mountain Run setup on our body cars. I have nothing to compare it to really but I do LOVE how it handles now!
