Ah, yes the intake prototype made the photos.

Well, I learned a lot from this experiment and will be incorporating many of the observations into future revisions to the design.

(1) get the air filter under the hood-line. While its not too obtrusive into your line of sight, it really takes away from the designer's intended lines for the car's sheet metal, and it would be nice to use the factory supplied hood scoop
(2) fiberglass will allow smoother transitions for the air flow
(3) attach the vacuum hose back to the intake (oops )
(4) develop water pathways in case of rain
(5) incorporate a velocity stack at the throttle body

I do think that the air path and the sound of the intake worked very nice together and that throttle response was improved dramatically.

Any thoughts for future direction with this project?

Holy Crap Chris!!! How many pics did you take?!?!?!!?

Awesome photos though!!! What kind of camera is that anyway? I've got to get me one of those.

If we're lucky, we'll see the Intrepid at the next Autocross.

If you were able to double the size of it I think you could fit an electric rad fan on it.. This would give you a cheap supercharger.. You could fit solar panels on the roof so the fan did not pull any horsepower away

I surely did like the sound of this maybe colour match the scoop next time ..

Hey I'm on a roll How about a hinge on the front so you could have it go flush at higher speeds and pop it up at a light..

I think we know what you're "rolling" there Jody. Perhaps you should refrain from smoking it!!!

I think i took about 150 or more picutres that whole weekend.
U gotta love digital cameras.....no money spent on processing film. Heh.

I have a Canon Powershot S30.....a wee bit on the expensive side, but i think well worth it.....as u can see.
