5/25/2012: Mercy. I just loaded up everything I had related to this post into my truck yesterday, and it is my intention to bring it to the scrap yard after work today.

Starting now, please consider everything here gone.

Thanks,
Jeff

I recently traveled south to acquire a 1993 Subaru Impreza, which appears to have been a Maryland car its whole underutilized life.

At 4111 miles per year, driven in a southern salt-free climage, this car has been well preserved. I purchased it for a project I'm undertaking where ALL of the mechanical/suspension bits, and much of the interior, will be replaced with more modern Subaru parts.

The car is a 1.8L front wheel drive, five speed, with 74K miles. It has decent all season tires on steel 13" wheels, good brakes, etc. The interior is in EXCELLENT shape. It appears to have been a non smoking, clean, well taken care of car. Because of the scope and nature of this project, (turning many bolts, inserting many dollars), I was very careful to obtain a foundation with no rust, for ease of dis-and re-assembly. I am sincerely hoping that someone reading this is excited about the prospect of all this rust-free mechanical hardware, and/or clean interior, so that it will not be senselessly crushed as part of this project, but could instead bring new life to a local Subaru, that could use such transplants.

The parts are located in Essex Junction, VT

beaviscih (transmission): How about $150 + the cost of shipping, which someone told me today would be around $150-$200, but to be sure, only 150 to me, then whatever it costs. You realize this is a front wheel drive, right? Just want to make sure you know what you'd be getting.

chancellor6869: I really don't text. Could you email pictures to [email protected]? If not, I'll give you a # you can text them to, I just try to make a habit of not doing that, as my plan doesn't cover it & it ends up costing me per text. Shipping might be awkward on that part because of its size, not weight. That said, perhaps we could ship it by greyhound, because it's not going to be that heavy. Is there a Greyhound station near you?

FWD is what I'm looking for as goofy as that sounds. I assume you are shipping via freight which would be the best route. I have a freight shipping account so I can get a quote as well but your estimate is in the ball park. Would you consider throwing in the flywheel and pressure plate?

Default Update

beaviscih: Sure, I'd throw those in, glad to see them go to use!

Impreza_ej1.8: How about $250 + shipping? I can only guess at shipping until I get it out of the car. I'd be psyched to see it extend the life of another car. I'd be happy to include all the peripheral stuff too, if you'd be interested in it, (and the extra shipping that it would cost to have that stuff along for the ride.

All: FYI: The car is either coming apart this week or next, and estimates on shipping will be much more realistic once the parts are out, palletable, and measurable.

Thanks,
Jeff

Default Yes.

It was indeed a hatchback/wagon.

I hope this causes you some interest in some of these parts. I really hope to see them go to use :-), (vs. crushed/melted)

I'm having issues with mine. No fuel movement to the engine. Replaced the fuel pump and fuel pump relay and still nothing.

Now I'm thinking it is probably the ECU or wiring. Got a price on those?

Default I do.

I do have the stock airbox and the plastic pipe that leads it to the engine. Please make an offer for that, knowing that I'll have to charge you for shipping too, (presumably). Where would it be going?

Thanks for your interest,
Jeff

Just starting to look I don't know what it would be worth. Maybe 20 plus shipping? It would be going to 72023 zip code if that's ok

10-20 it is, how about $15+shipping. I'll try & round up a box that'll accommodate both parts, and get a shipping quote to you. Could you please pm (or preferably email me) your full name & address, so I'll have that when the time comes? My email is: [email protected] Thanks!

Regretfully, no. The door cards are going to remain in the car. The STI stuff was not compatible. Thanks for your interest though and best of luck w/ your search!

Default Updated list

I updated the list just a couple of posts back with the remaining items I have available for sale, and the list of what I have sold thus far.

Please let me know if you'd like any of this. There will come a point where I pull the chute, and it'll all get crushed. I'd vastly prefer to see each part save someone some money.

Thanks!
Jeff

Grey or Tan interior? Seats in nice shape? My 93 Wagon has seen 6 owners abusing it before I gave it a proper home and would love a set of clean unstained seat upholstery or seats if they are grey. And if it has the armrest I would be interested in that too. Im down in Jersey but since I was just laid off I could possibly road trip up to stock up on replacement bits.

Aczwild: Yup.

aprezzal: Gray. The seats are light gray. Unfortunately, my back seat has to stay in the car, as the STI rear seat was incompatible. If you'd be interested in just seats, I'd be happy to send you some pictures of them. But if you'd only be interested if you could get both the front and rear seats, I understand. Please let me know an email to send images to if you'd like. Also, ... if you have anything else in mind that you saw on the list, please note them and I can send you images of those things too.

Thanks for the reply J..

Really need the backs more than the fronts so Good Luck with the sale.

Still pondering the floormats though.
