Default stage 1 AP logs. take a look!

i just got a chance to make a few logs and would like others to take a look at them and tell me what they think. they look fine to me but would like others feed back since these are my first logs and im still a noob to the whole AP thing. also i dont feel any gain in performance from stock to stage 1 with just a catback exhaust. only thing that i have really noticed is the car pulls and drives abit smoother.

this log is 2nd and 3rd gear

something else i have noticed since going stage 1, i hve not hit the rev limiter? does the AP increase the revlimiter? what is the stock rev limit on a 2011 wrx? did a quick search and didnt see anything so far.

so far all i have seen in my searching is alot of people saying "keep going you will find it" or some other stupid remarks. only thing i have seen worth while is 6900rpm and that throttle cut starts a few 100 rpm before fuel cut. i usualy shift at 6500 rpms anyhow but want to know for sure so i am more aware.

Logs look good.

Stock rev limiter for 2011 WRX is 6700 RPM. Stage 1 has been raised to 7000 RPM, although, of course, you don't want to bounce off the rev limiter, neither do you want to try to shift too close to rev limiter that you might actually hit it occasionally (for typical driving).

thanks for taking a look bill. should i be feeling a power increase with stage 1? from what i heard is i wont really feel the increase in power until i go stage 2.

i plan on driving the car on stage 1 with your sf intake system for awhile until the summer time. i am wondering if i add the intake and change tune to stage 1+ if i will notice any more power and not just the sounds.

according to your site these are the increases i should see during the various stages. these are all calulated using the stock hp numbers of 265hp and 244tq..

stage 1 .................................... stage 1+ SF
+34.45hp = 299.45hp ................... +43.99hp = 308.99hp
+41.48tq = 285.48tq ................... +51.72tq = 295.72tq

stage 2 .......................... .......... stage 2+ SF
+39.75hp = 304.75hp ................... +46.37hp = 311.37hp
+58.55tq = 302.55tq ................... +58.31tq = 302.31tq

again they are all using the %'s you have listed on your site for 93 octane maps and calculated using the stock engine numbers. not WHP numbers. how does Cobb actually get these numbers/%'s that they list on the site? for those increases you would think i would feel the increase on the butt dyno for sure.

Yes, you should notice an increase in power and smoothness even at stage 1. After you first install (or reflash the map), it clears all the learned ECU parameters, so give it about a week of learning before comparing the relative "butt dyno" measurements.

Changing out to an intake on top of stage 1 will be less noticeable power gain (relative to stock vs. stage 1). Most of those gains you will see on the top end, generally speaking.

Stage 2 is another big step up and should be quite noticeable.
