I def would if I wasn't going up to Richmond the day before. I also have a watch Saturday night, not sleeping and driving out there wouldn't be very safe.

Another addict trying to get his fix.

Within the next day or two the course map should come out. I'll post it up when I can.

Wish I could make it, but I'm finishing up the HVAC install this weekend. Without it we won't have heat upstairs. Lol

Levi, you could do both. The race is next weekend, you can finish the house project this weekend and race next weekend.

I was thinking the pence meet and the race was this weekend as well. Gives me more time to finish up some things as well.

This is true. I'll have to see how things continue to play out. I finally got my pay raise, so I should start to have more play money. Yay!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the wife had pneumonia during our last race. She found that out the Tuesday after. I felt bad for leaving to go race when she was feeling so bad.

You went ahead and went to the race though, so you didn't feel that bad.

I just pre-registered for the Pungo event. I have questions.

(1) Is there some organization to what classes run in what heats?

(2) Is the number I just put in to register the number I'll put on my car? Is there a way to have a permanent number? I happened to get my normal number (28) this time, but that was just by chance. And what are the "WL" numbers?

(3) On the entry list it shows a number in red beside most of the names - what does that mean? Mine shows (0), so I'm guessing it's number of events attended. But there are a few folks that don't have a red number, and instead have "(PD)" next to their name, and I couldn't figure out how PD would relate to that.

(4) At the top of the page it says the fee is $20 for "Frequent Drivers (see below)". As far as I can tell there's nothing below that actually tells you what a Frequent Driver is. Clearly, attending my first ODR event, I'm not a Frequent Driver, I'm just curious who is.

1 there Is a classification basses on Scca rule book. The link is on odr we'd site to help you narrow down your class. If you don't know then they will get you in the right class the day of the event.
2 the number you have registered with is the number you will use and put on the side of the car. You can get a permanent number by becoming a odr member and paying for the number.
3 the red 0 by your name indicates that you have not paid for the event. The number will increase everyday you do not pay. WL Means waiting list and pd means they have paid. The 20 $ fee is for members hence paying the membership fee gets you discounts on races. You have to pay 30 instead.... Hope this helps and have fun!

All classes run together. It is based on the number you are. There should be little legend that says certain numbers will run in which heat. Currently you will be in heat 2 with the number 28

(2) Is the number I just put in to register the number I'll put on my car? Is there a way to have a permanent number? I happened to get my normal number (28) this time, but that was just by chance. And what are the "WL" numbers?

[ See NTRPRIZ's above. The WL numbers are people who a wanted a number that wasn't on the list to choose from.

There is alot of military around here it is easier to register and then pay at the event in case something comes up. That is what I do at least.

I know what class I'm in - SM. I've just never seen a club run heats but not group each class into assigned heats (so all the competitors in a given class compete at the same time), hence my question.

Got it. Interesting way of doing things.

Or by getting onto pre-reg as soon as it opens and getting the number I want.

OK, but I have paid. I paid via Paypal as soon as I submitted my registration. I was somewhat surprised that the site didn't prompt me for a car number or my SCCA member number or something like that when I paid. Is each payment matched up by name with a registration?

And the registration page says, "Payment must be made within 24 hours of registration. Failure to pay will result in the removal of your entry unless arrangements have been made with the registrar in advance," so it seems strange that only 5 people have paid after 5 or 6 days have gone by.

What do folks do if they have magnetic numbers for something other than 1 thru 60?

Looking forward to getting out to an event - I did two events at the start of the DC Region's season, but haven't had the car out since early May. I need to crank my negative camber back in and get the toe aligned; I'm not sure my race rubber will fit if I don't add some negative camber.

Yes, it usually takes a day before it shows the payment was made.

It says that but as far as I know they won't drop you for not paying. If you pre register and you don't plan on making it, just let them know and they will take care of it. Autocross.us is there forum, plenty of info on there as well.

You an always reverse the number order. That is why there is a WL. They put a number to start with and request a different number.

It is a pretty small area to race compared to what you got to race on up in DC. Depending on who designs the layout it could be even more tight as well. We still have fun though.

Come on by an introduce yourself or park next to the other subies there. I usually help with the tech in morn.
