CDL / DOT Physicals

Does anybody have any personal experience or recommendations on where to go/who to see for a DOT Physical? I need one before I start these classes and I don't have a family doctor so I'm absolutely clueless on where to go.

I've looked up numerous places that offer a DOT Physical around town but just want to hear some personal experiences and recommendations. I'm a little bit worried about the Vision part of it :\

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I used to go to the place on Minnesota just before spenard, don't remember what it's called off the top of my head. It's in a little strip mall on the west side of the road. In and out, quick and painless. They do walk ins I believe.
Muni job exempts me now, so I haven't had to get one in ~4 years though.

I've had more trouble with the DMV over the vision test then during the physical. I'll ace the poster every time (I get various physicals and vision tests 2-3 times a year for work), but I really struggle with the countertop ones for some reason.

Just had my FAA Flight Physical done here on Tuesday. It's a fantastic office. Dr. Tilgner is pretty cool.

AK_Ford you're lucky for being exempt!

I'm quite the opposite with vision tests, but that's only because I practically know the counter top ones by heart hah My right eye vision isn't terrible, but it's not as strong as my left eye. For CDL, you can't miss any/get any wrong so I'm a little worried

Thanks again to both of you Carters for the info! That place is $30 cheaper than the one I was going to go to.
