Default Removing Up-pipe and Spark Plugs, Need help.

Hey all!

First problem, I am replacing my headers and up-pipe before I go for a pro-tune in February, I have about 3 weeks to get everything that needs to come off, off. Then put everything new back on.

Anyways I have removed the Header\exhaust manifold and have the up-pipe un bolted from the turbo... Now I read that i have to lift the motor...fine...but im used to Vette motors were i can just bolt an engine lift right to the top of the motor on the manifold...

Some suggest just jacking up the motor on that side...but where would you position the jack to lift?! ...whats the best way to go about getting the up-pipe out?

Lastly, I am putting in one step colder NGK plugs... I have 3 coilpacks out... the one closest to the driver... wont come out. I have a 2010 WRX sedan and there is this plastic black cover coming from the back of the AC unit to the back side of the motor wrapping around the top side of the head preventing me from spinning the coilpack 180 degrees. lol....at this point i should just pull the motor out of the car

For the uppipe i also heard that you need to jack the motor up a little.
but honestly I swapped my uppipe a few days ago and i didn't even jack the engine up, i came right out.
my best advice is if you haven't done so yet unbolt the turbo and take of the downpipe. after you did that you can try wiggling the uppipe back and forth eventually you will get it out, i took mine out from the bottom if that helps.
Also don't forget to unbolt the headers from the upipipe if u haven't done this yet also makes the job easier.

put a block of wood under the trans and jack that up a bit.
(after removing the nuts for the motor mounts of course)

I removed the passenger side motor mount nut , put a block of wood under the oil pan and lifted it up about 2 inches.
The stock uppipe came out easily after that.
