Default CT: Ultra Clean 2005 CGM STI- 30k miles, tastefully modded

SALE PENDING

After lots of thought, I've decided the time may have come to sell my beloved STI. It has been nothing but good to me, and has been a joy to own.

I purchased this car back in 2007 from a private adult owner. It had just 7,800 miles on it, and was garaged its whole life. The rims and body panels still had the little neon stickers on them from the factory. The car had a TXS turboback on it, and was tuned by Jermaine at TurboXS when I purchased it. This is not my first Subaru, I had a 2004 WRX before this. I've been involved in the community and modding now for almost a decade.

This car has been garage kept for 75% of its life. It was driven in the snow just 1 season, and has not been driven for several winters since then. The car doesn't even see rain these days, and is only driven on nice days. It still looks better today than most cars that are 1 year old. Aside from a few minor rock chips here and there, the car is pretty much mint. The car has just 30,0xx miles on it right now. I've been driving it here and there, but it wont go up much. Most people tell me this is the cleanest STI they have ever seen. I detail semi-professionally, and take darn good care of this car. You'd be hard pressed to find another one that isn't in a car collection, or a dedicated show car.

The car just recently recieved a bigger turbo/injectors/etc etc. It is crazy fast, and almost a little much for me. The tune is very safe, and the car pulls like crazy. The whole setup has 500 miles or so on it, was running stage 2 up till then. The car has never been raced, tracked, launched, anything of the sort. While I do some spirited driving from time to time, I am very nice to my STI. Oil has been changed religiously at 3-4k miles, with Amsoil 5w40 High Performance Full Synthetic Motor Oil. Doesn't consume any oil ever.

I am only selling because I am ready for a new project, and am looking for something a little more luxurious. Looking to move up to a BMW 1M or a GTR.

Thanks. According to my tuner, this should run in GTR territory. Shold be good for 11's with a low 120's trap speed.

Unfortunate. E85 is amazing stuff.

Not sure how well these injectors would run on pump, but I can talk to Mikey. Worst case you'd just need to bump down to some 850cc injectors, or do a top feed conversion. These big side feeds don't like to idle smoothly on pump though.

This car has potential beyond this current tune too. Would have no problem running 26-27psi with some drop in pistons/rods.

Considering I sold mine and picked up a really nice twin turbo 335XI, which is sick, but now I'm out shopping for another 04/05 STi lol. I miss the damn thing that much. I'd keep it and pick up your next project. If you are anything like me you'll miss it.

GLWS, not a bad price and really clean too.

Good to know. I feel like the 135i might not be aggressive enough, but need to sell the STI if I am going to pick up a 1M.

The power delivery is much more linear than the STI

Nope. Mikey and I have spent several days together ensuring that the tune is smooth and safe. I have yet to see any knock count when driving and logging. We were at 24 psi and running safely, but I backed it down to 23-23.5 psi for a little extra safety.

That's the beauty of E85. On pump I would be worried about making this kind of power, but on E85 it is pretty darn safe.
