Default 03 hybrid swap= no start.

Hi all. First off I'm Justin. So I have 99 2d L the engine is 2.2 turbo bottom end with 96 jdm turbo heads. I just finished swapping the harness, ecu, and all required sensors and what not. Now no start. It will pop every once in a while. It has great spark and I know the injectors are firing, but no go. Do any of you swap experts know anything I may have any advise where I should start looking for problems or something I may have missed.

Thanks Justin

Try some starting fluid directly in the throttle body, sounds like bad fuel if it sputters but does not start. Let us know how that goes. If that is not it, I would think it may be a mechanical issue, ie timing, head gaskets etc..

Also what ECU are you running? The crank sensor pickup may be different than what that ECU is used to.

Tried starting fluid on the TB. The ecu is from an 03 wrx manual trans. The cam/crank gears are the 6/7 setup. Is that maybe the wrong setup?
