Oh hell that's hilarious! At least the driver if the Subie had some skill and got out of their sideways slide. All the people in that video were morons for going to fast though...

Wow, amazing, sick, crazy, just Holy Cow!! If you see cars scattered all over, what do you think is happening?

I've never had an accident because I couldn't get going, it's been the getting STOPPED that's the problem. AWD doesn't help with that and anti-locks are a joke in the snow (used to pull the fuse on the anti locks when the weather was like that).

Thanks for the vid, reminds us all how careful we need to be.

It's right by my house. Speed wasn't as much an issue for most as it was the ice under the snow. 400 North is steep and the water sheeted down it and froze. The Subaru driver only made it because he gassed it instead of braking. Once you brake on ice and start to slide, it's over.

Utah drivers are the lowest common denominator.

People by my house were driving on the shoulder so I used the lane and passed them. They honked and flashed their brights! I guess it's my fault they didn't know where the road was?

Old Subie driver- Like a boss

at the bro trucks sliding around. It seems some people were going way to fast, they should know better on how steep that street is.

Crazy video. I agree a lot of Utah drivers are horrible drivers here in the snow.

This was on my drive home, My wife went about a block from our house and turned around. She has brand new bilzzaks on her 09 fozzy and she was sliding around. This street was closed down a little after the video.

only locals know how extremely steep 400north is near 10th East. Super steep.

And lucky that none of the idiots standing outside their cars were run over.

In a very similar situation I rolled a car going 10 mph in 1st gear coming down the Powder Mtn canyon. Turned my car into a bobsled and slid forever on the roof in 1992. Ended up in the River.

I love how dumb ass Utahns fail to realize that the vehicles they drive have tires, tires that are bald and not designed to work in conditions such as these. Watch next, not only will the government burden us with tire pressure monitoring systems, their going to make cars have tread monitoring systems. You'll automatically be updated by your Iphone when your tires are bald.

IS IT SO ****ING HARD JUST TO LOOK AT YOUR TIRES ONCE A WEEK AND CHECK THEM OUT??

Finally the site is back up!!!

Man driving in the snow Saturday night from Wvc to Roy was long drive. Everyone was going 35mph. Took me 1.5 hrs to arrive when it usually takes me 40 minutes..

As long as everybody is ok = funny

The spot in the video where that suv was just sitting by the curb and started sliding shows how slick that really was. Snow tires would help but not a whole lot on pure ice like that.

That being said, I really want some snow on the ground here. It's been 40's and 50's all winter with a few random cold days and only about 3" of snow so far.

pure ice is really not that difficult to manage with good snow tires. i'm sure it was the incline on the hill that made it really bad.

this was an ice rink under the 1-2" of fresh snow. it was easier to drive on than walk. blizzaks ftw.
