Thumbs up Fog Light Overlays

Hello All,

I had bought the precut fog light overlays from HeadlightArmor. Figured I'd share as I haven't seen any pictures of them installed.

Are they hard to install? Do you have to remove the front bumper?

Nope I thought the bumper would have to come off too but the black shroud comes off and makes it really easy!

Picked up a few toys for the subbie today. Kayak and bike carrier (bike carrier not pictured) and also a new kayak

Sorry the car is dirty. Been raining the last few days. Will be adding fairing this coming week. It came yesterday but I wasn't home to sign for it, d'oh!

I have a DMG color as well, i'm looking to add some exterior options....what have some of you that have the same color done to your so far? I saw the optional grill that its look strong. Also the spoiler in the back, I'm wondering if it will enhance the back of the car and give more of a sporty character....has anyone done side moldings?

Wow lets get some 4drs up in here! So many hatches and I don't know why!

Dark Gray Metallic Impreza Premium w/ CVT, Sport Mesh Grille, Moonroof and All Weather Pkg along with 17" alloy wheel pkg. I really love the car so far. I just wish it had the same power that my old 3.8L Grand Prix did! But oh well, the AWD is great, it's a sporty looking car, just hope the paint holds up - seems a lot of people aren't impressed with Subaru's paint!

I hope so too. Coming from previously owning an Audi that was 13 years old and only had one small rust spot on the trunk lid.

Do you think there is room to stack 2 kayaks like that?

did you have to mod the thule fairing to fit the crossbars?

1) Get your fog light film, credit card for a squeegee, and a spray bottle or bucket of water.

2) Remove the black plastic shroud around the fog lights by grabbing it from the inside (cut out circular portion for fog light). This way you don't damage your paint by prying it with a screwdrive on the outside. Once that piece is off you have plenty of access.

3) Grab a spray bottle or a bucket of water. Wet your finger tips so you don't put fingerprints on the sticky surface. Spray the fog light with a mist or flick some water on there from the bucket (I didn't have a spray bottle).

4) With your wetted fingertips pull the film off of its backing and apply to the foglight.

5) Grab a credit card or something for a squeegee. Start to push the water out to the edges and start flattening the film on the light. It may seem like there is no way a flat film will sit smoothly on the domed light but keep working the film until it sits evenly.

6) Enjoy and don't wash or touch the film for 3 days or so to let it set.

-Brian

Sorry to hear, something out of the norm cause it? Or just from some typical rock kickup on a highway? I've saw some mention they got a 3M clear film applied to their front bumpers. I'm wondering if I should do the same since I spend a lot of miles on the highway.

Also, anyone have some pics with the hood protector on their car? I wonder it's effectiveness as well as I've never had one of those on a vehicle I owned.

We already got the full 3m XPEL treatment on our Impreza on all leading edges.
It's worked well on my Honda Element mountain driving car for 9 years.

I personally do not like the "deflectors".

It's mainly worthwhile if you do highway driving, and since that seems to be what the imp is designed for it seems worthwhile.
