More pics for today, since it's a picture thread :-)...I added the arm rest extension, OEM fog lights, and changed out the grill wing blades to the ones I painted to match the wheel color. May start tinting it this weekend. My WRX delivery got delayed, was supposed to be here last night, still not here.....surprise, surprise. So, the steering wheel retrofit and suspension compatibility will just have to wait until it gets here next week. Will be a fun project for next weekend. Onto the pics:

Looks sick and nicer without the mudguards and strake kits. I want to take mine off. White is an awesome colour on the impreza.

Why is the dash/glove box removed? What was accessed that way?

I personally am a fan of the chrome on the grill & have seen a lot of plasti dipped ones where the chrome ring around the Subaru logo is left intact. But I gotta say I REALLY like the look of the plastidip on everything except the logo. Good work!

I removed it to install the fuse for the OEM fog lights, or the relay, what ever it is called. That's where the circuit is housed.

Ultimately, I think the marine blue and metallic gray are the most attractive, but they only come with a black interior. I really want the beige interior. So maybe I'll be joining you with a Sage Green/Ice Silver hatch. I'll post pics if/when I finally buy.
Thanks. It's really grown on me. Like you, my first preference was the MBP as well. However, I started shopping at the wrong time and none were available, at least in the sport trim so I "settled" on the sage green/ISM. It looks much better in person than the phone pic I posted up. The color definitely changes depending on the time of day and the type of light that's hitting it. Sometimes it can look like the blue/ism too. For me though, I wish it came with the dark interior, but the taupe interior looks really good though and I don't mind it at all. So overall, I've been really satisfied and happy with the car.

If you do fine one, I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. Good luck. I know there's a sport limited in sage green/ism out here on the west coast!

How did you get the fog lights to turn on without the headlights?

I didn't....I was just installing the OEM fog light kit, bought it cheaper than if I ordered it, and am
Comfortable installing stuff on my own.

I just changed out the shifter knob to a carbon one I had in an older MINI Cooper. Perfect fit, shortened the shifter. Also just installed 20% tint on the sides. Messed up the rear, so need to redo that when I get more film. Pics in a minute....

So in this picture the headlights are on also?

Did you change your headlight bulbs as well?

That is not my car, and it appears that the headlights are on, just hard to see because of a day pic? I left the bulbs stock for now....most of my funds are being spent on the WRX...which is delayed for delivery time...sigh

That is my first ever attempt at tint....bought a precut kit from ebay, figured it was worth a shot...turned out pretty good, but the curve on the rear window was too hard for me, so I removed it and will have that professionally done.

Window tint...and black A-pillars. Also made the visors black while I was at it, but those are still drying.

the black pillars will eliminate this look....where you see them glaringly white...

This is much better...

Love it! What did you use for the A-pillars? Did you tape them off or remove them?

Duplicolor plastic/vinyl black, removed them. Not hard to do outside of getting the airbag retainer clip out, be patient, and careful, and it can be done.

The plastidip is flat black. Easy to work with, my first time using it but didnt turn out too bad!

The lights were kind of interesting. When i had my friend tint the car I had bought the HID kits off of him and he wired it all for me. Originally id do it all myself but since I work so much now, its hard to find time to play around with these things. The headlights are 6000k and the fogs are 3000k yellow i think. I will have to double check on the fogs. I did not change the daytime running lights though.

What I had done was change the bulb itself to HID and add a ballast to each bulb. The HID kits came with ballast, bulb and wiring. Very simple conversion. Though I did notice a problem, that the foglight housing seemed to be heating up very quickly, causing a sort of "haziness" on the backside reflective interior near the bulb of the housing. It seemed to clear up after a bit of cooling off but I think its because the housing is not really made for that kind of heat (cheap material?), so far not causing any trouble i have noticed other than the 'haziness'.
