First new car. I'm stoked! Though the 8-12 week wait they estimated is going to be tough. I have zero patience.
The waiting time is the hardest!

Thanks for all the help with the grille! Took me about an 45 min but got it done. It took me longer than expected because I was a little nervous not to put too much pressure on the clips on the bottom and end up break them. After 15-20 I just said F it. My knuckled were taking a beating so I just just yanked it with force and popped right off with all the plastic clips in tact. I should of just man'ed up at the begining of it.

I picked up a Craftsman small ratcheting screwdriver set which works great in those hard to reach areas.

Here is my DGM Scooby

First car wash 5 days after purchase

Before Mod by jmaiden91184, on Flickr

3 months later

Mods I added after purchase

1. Spoiler
2. Lamin-X Film (foglight)
3. Muffler delete
4. Sports Mesh Grille
5. Interior lights swapped LED (White)
6. HID (DDM 35W) 5000k
7. LED Swap DRL (White)
8. 20% tint all around
9. L's Plate lights (Piaa high heat bulbs)

Picture quality is bad because it was taken off my Iphone from a 3rd story building. I had to crop it.

Here you go!

Ima, were the license plate bulbs easy to swap? I can't seem to find the clip on the covers from the outside. BTW, car turned out really sharp!

Very easy. Remove the liner from inside the trunk. That's how you access the light bulbs.

Thanks Wes, did you use the plastic pry tools to pop the trunk liner loose to access them from the inside?

Just a flathead screwdriver does the trick nicely.

Just picked it up last night and drove it 140 miles home. I love it. Only a cell phone shot and I plan on washing it (to get the bugs off) and taking some better photos later today.

I swapped my license plate bulbs with these:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/170887127018?...84.m1439.l2649

They fit perfectly, the LED at the bottom does come into slight contact with the light covers. Removing the the light cover is easy, you push cover to the right to unhook the clip and then you lift it out by pulling it towards you. There is no need to go through the hatch to do it.

I've nearly replaced all halogen bulbs with SMD LEDs on my car. A couple more to go and I've be done my all LED conversion.

Wonderful pics! I personally love, love, love the stock DGM Sport. I feel that nothing about it has to be changed. But due to budget constraints I picked up a DMG Premium. I just added the fog lights to complete the front end. I wish I to someday (soon) pick up some stock 17" rims and side skirts / ground effects. Not really sure what its called.

What you're looking for would be the aero kit and strake kit.

Actually the only extra that my car has body-wise is the aero splash guard kit. I think they look pretty good.

Hey guys,

Is anyone on here running 06-07 or 08-10 WRX wheels?

My dad recently picked up a '12 sport limited and is looking for a winter setup. I gave him a set of 17" snows to run but he needs a set of 5x100 wheels. So I found a a set of 06 WRX wheels and a set of '10 WRX wheels locally for sale and was wondering if either of them fit without issue?

TIA,

-Sean

Hey all, I have been following this forum for a while and finally got the juevos to plasti dip my wheels. I did three coats of plasti dip followed by two coats of clear VTC wheel paint for the glossy finish. For my first time using plasti dip, I think it came out alright. Should I plasti dip the center too?

Also, I took advantage of the 20% off sale this weekend at subarupartswarehouse.com and bought the roof rack, roof spoiler, and splash guards. Use code: AUG12 - Good through tomorrow.

I plastidipped center cap minus the subaru logo. I think most people dip the whole thing.

Looks great!
