Thanks so much! I will say that there is minimal light scatter with your setup. I have seen some crappy retrofits in my time... this looks pretty decent! I had 6000K bulbs in my STI, and they look nice but you can tell that their light output (lumens) are less than the standard 4300K bulbs.

* EDIT * Now that I look at it again, is the stock beam pattern more diffused and less concentrated than this pic? Will have to check tomorrow.

The HID retrofit is pretty close to the stock beam pattern. No more glare above the cut off line than stock.

It was a pain in the a**. I had to take off the front air guide and try and fit my fat hands through under the fender. Something that helps is using a screw driver pushing one side of the harness and pulling on the other side with your finger. If it doesn't make sense I'll try and do a tutorial.

The mrs. gave her a name today, and we decided to call her "Emy".

Me too. On the fence. I wouldn't mind the Subaru & the Impreza badges but I could do without 4, the AWD & PZEV are overkill. Is it easy to do yourself?

I think a hair dryer/heatgun would do the trick. AFAIK the badges are stuck on with adhesive. Heating it up will help pulling it off.

That's not necessary. Just going up and down hills will vary the RPMs quite a bit and aid the break-in period.

I used the advice from HERE and at 1,000 I did my 2nd long trip (approx 600 miles, 200 miles each leg) and got 39.0 MPG on the last leg. The first long trip was about 340 miles - 2 legs of 170 miles each, on the first tank of gas and with a very low starting MPH average due to who-knows-what the dealer did for those first 10 miles. Got 34 MPG on that.

Even though I did a lot of steady RPM driving, I made a point to vary it and made several "power runs" to 1500 below redline.

We seem to have a relatively rare, but certainly not exotic combo in our Impreza. I certainly couldn't find many examples when I was looking for examples. We JUST picked up our 2012 Impreza Premium, Deep Marine Blue, CVT, all weather package, stock 16" alloy wheels.

Hopefully the pics come through. I am having trouble getting them to preview correctly. I am new to the forum and haven't posted pics before. Heck, we are new to Subaru.

We love the car. We have almost always gone with 4 banger engines and seem to be able to coax fun out of them. This seems plenty peppy, if you drive it right. And it handles like a dream. On our initial drive, in our new Angry Bird, I suprised a Beemer on a tight cloverleaf on-ramp, hanging onto his tail....without violating the break-in rules.
My only regret is that its designated my wife's car....

bah! We can't decide between DGM or or SWP for ours. I like the DGM better with the sport limited wheels than the SWP, but if I got the SWP I'd change the wheels to silver BBS or something similar . . .

We're gonna order a Sport limited with the following exterior options:

Front underspoiler
Rear spoiler
Aero splash guards
Sport mesh grille

Which would you choose?!

Won't the SWP come with tan interior while the DGM will come in black/dark grey?

That might help you decide a bit more easily.

Here is my 2012 Impreza Sport Premium Dark Gray Metallic. I've had it for 3 weeks and currently have 3,000 miles on it. The car is a blast to drive, I love it! I had the below options put on.

Sport Mesh Grille
Auto Dimming Rear Mirror
All Weather Floor Mats
Aero Splash Guards
Rear Cargo Net
Rear Bumper Applique
