Looks great, man! You beat me to it! I put aside time this Thursday to install the SPT in my car. We test fit it a couple of weeks go and just needs some minor adjustment to fit.

If you guys are interested in how his sounds, it'll likely sound similar to mine when we test fit it!

So today I received my Cobb Adjustable short shifter and Kartboy front and rear shifter bushings...I went ahead and installed the short shifter myself which took about 2 hours because I was playing around to find the perfect setup. It was an easy install and the difference is tremendous. I took the Impreza for a spin and it really felt great. Shifts were crisp and short...People here were right when they say it should be the first upgrade you do. Bushings to come soon. http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_0836.jpg http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_0841.jpg http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_0842.jpg
Also I installed a the OEM roof rack from Subaru, which I plasti-dipped black. http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/...k/IMG_0812.jpg

Gday, Sorry here's a bulk noon question. Can you get these short shifters for the CVT auto? I really reeeeeally don't like the gear change so I use the paddles alot.

Also what is the mod classed under?? Like transmission or what if so doesn't it void warranty??

I'm brand new to non Ute cars so I don't really know what to look for but reading forums has helped some what with choice of upgrades

Cheers

what do you mean by lurch? It does sometimes get to 4-45k revs then change which is annoying that's why I use the paddles

Did you use tweezers for the park lights or did you take the battery out for one side and the air box for the other? It's such a tight fit otherwise, I managed to take the bulbs out but couldn't put new ones in without taking stuff out of the engine bay.

Do you have the site where you ordered these from? I'm really liking it and it's SPT too.
What do you guys think about dual tips on one side or single tip on both sides? I really like the look and sound for the quad tips but I'm not sure if it would be a little bit excessive for an Impreza.

You guys ever thought of taking the ebrake "leather" part and putting some red stitching in it? I think it would look mad!

yeh i did use long nose pilers, i do have big fat hands....so i mostly just pushed my way through it (hand got stuck but i eventually got it out haha) i took out the airbox to get my way underneath it, it was the only way to do that side i found... i left the battey but moved it slighty without unplugging it etc

I managed to do the parking "eyebrows" the orher night without removing anything. I have giant hands, but long fingers. I just messed with it until it worked. Put LED's in. You just need to mess with the little flat ends..

OK, I'm just a little confused. In another thread someone said that our midpipe flange does not line up exactly where a WRX flange is located; so using this muffler would require major sergury. Did you simply bolt it up and remove and replace the hangers? I am very interested because I am about to make an exhaust mod soon Thanks

Everything lined up perfectly. I just had to relocate the hangers

The SPT Exhaust is designed for the 3rd Gen WRX/Impreza design. Because the 4th Gen Impreza is a little longer of a vehicle, the one I'm installing will actually be lengthened a little bit to A: fit under the rear sway bar a little better and B: extend the tips closer to the end of the bumper.

kinger37's SPT install just needed hanger relocation because he didn't cut into the rear bumper. I think his exhaust just sits under the vehicle happy as a clam!

Where did you order your exhaust from and how much was it? I want to make sure I get the right one.

YEAH, i had the same concern. I talked to a guy a subaru meet, he said his low end dropped when installed his exhaust (single straight pipe)....something i feel like our car lacks.

please let us know how car performs with the quad exhaust. Looks and sounds good but i rather have better performance. too much show, no go.
