Took tomorrow and the next day off to do the battery relocation .... but I did it in 6Hrs today after work today lol.

Started by gutting the drivers side interior:

Found these under the carpet
Rusty Steel Balls:

Then Routed the Positive Cable
First behind the fender:

Then next to the drivers seat which conveniently had
these nice little holders lol:

Then I realized my starter cable was too short
So I made a new one:

Then hooked everything up to the disty-block which is mounted where
the old battery tray used to sit

Then connected the ground
Sanded:

Installed:

To keep the wires in place in the corner of the trunk floor I actually drilled holes to run two zip ties to hold the wires snug. Then I applied liberal amounts of undercoating to seal it up:

Battery and circuit breaker installed:

The Leftovers:

Vid of first startup:
(My voice sounds weird lol)

Also anyone want to time their windows going up and down and compare it to this? I think it may be slower

I took it for a short drive to get the battery all charged up (Short because the drivers side headlight and fender are still off. Its funny how without the back seats in you can hear the fuel pump and the gas slosh around in the tank

Also (And I did notice this before the relocation, just think it may be a hair worse now) If the windows are up and headlights are on and I hit up on any of the windows the lights dim slightly and If I hold it it causes a ever-so-slight rough idle. Also happens to the lights when I step on the brakes but much less noticeable than when I do the window

So all thats left for tomorrow is to put the drivers headlight fender and side skirt back on, rear seats and trim back in, and trunk trim pieces back in

Dont lol.
It turns into an obsession, I already have plans to move the fusebox and disty block hidden insode the car to eliminate most of that wiring mess by the washer bottle. Oh yea and Im entertaining moving that to the trunk as well using an STI intercooler spray bottle

So Ive been getting an occasional squeak from the rear end that Im pretty sure is a sticky caliper. So I decided today after work to pull all the calipers and grease the slider pins and whatnot.
First I got myself a late birthday present:

Then I got to work:
Rear passenger, no problem
Rear driver, no problem
Even tightened up the adjusters in the rear so now my e-brake functions
Front passenger, no problem
Front Driver ... top bracket bolt snapped

After I looked at the picture after uploading it, this may not be to bad
If someone could tell me which part is threaded, or both, but Im thinking just the bracket is threaded which means
if I remove the bottom bolt then I can just punch the top sheared part out with the bracket
If they are both threaded then I have some drilling to do

From what i see and remember from having done brakes you should be able todo the bottom bolt and that will pop off. I don't see any threads on it and i am certain when i did my brakes there were no threads. Just threads on the caliper

Thnx guys, I ordered two OEM bolts, which btw were a pain to find
The other one is for the other front caliper bracket, someone at some point replaced the bottom bolt with some 19mm one and IM OCD like that

That happened to me before, i had my friend torch it at his shop and then use the reverse bit to take it off.

Started operation un-crash-aru tonight:
Basically took the front end off, wired in the new headlights (Basically plug and play other than wiring in the halos which was a huge thumbs up to Spec-D), and wrapped my head around what I have to do tomorrow.
I cut off the top of the bumper supports to get a good visual of how much adjusting I need to do:
Pass side:

Drivers Side:

Got pretty much everything done today:

Whats left for the front end is to get and install a set of hood pins, unfortunately no matter what I tried the hood doesn't sit flat when I use the normal hood latch. Once the pins are in I can put the grille back in

Also tried to tackle the bracket bolt issue I ran into a while back. I swapped out the rando bolt that was on the passengers side:

But as for the sheared top bolt on the drivers side, nothing I tried worked to get the sheared portion out of the caliper bracket (Vice grips, penetrating oil, easy-out + impact, back drilling with a step bit.
Looks like Ill need a new caliper bracket. Im wondering of there are any foresters, outbacks,or legacys that share the same brakes cuz there are plenty of those at the local junk yard.

I also made a little tip video for getting stuck rotors off:

Installed some hood pins today
Now I can stop having to zip-tie the hood down and can put the Grille back in

Not bad for some autozone specials
And before the ricer talk starts I have always considered hood pins ricer in most applications but I really had no choice here
