Damn sun made the pic come out awful

Got the header/midpipe on today

Mostly straight forward, just a couple hiccups
First, the bracket that holds the midpipe was too wide so I had to grind it down a bit

Also the header took a bit of elbow grease to get over the studs. Widened the holes in the flanges a bit and then reached for the motivator (my hammer) and managed to get it all the way on. Also didnt buggar any of the threads in the process, score.

Pic, old vs new

Vid of smoke after starting

Havin some fun to get some sound bites

Found some gravel

I cant wait.
Gonna re-finish em (there's a lil curb rash anyway) Im gonna go white with em

Just gotta get lugs that'll fit

And Im not sure how this works since Ive never done aftermarket wheels before, but the wheels dont have cores in the valve stems. Is this something I should get before going to get the wheels mounted and balanced or is it something commonplace for a garage to put in when putting tires on new wheels?

Ok so I was removing the center caps to get ready to re-finish the wheels

And I noticed that two of the wheels have, hub centric rings or something?

Wheel With:

Wheel Without

Whats the dealio yo? Front vs rear type thing?
They came off an 08 so something to do with that?

Yea well one is cracked anyway
so I did some searching and it looks like I need 73.0->56.1 rings
Ebay's got em for like $10

Now Im annoyed a little
The company that I bought the $300 header and mid-pipe from sent me nothing
The company that I bought the $0.50 sticker from sent me a $20 cupon
this company also has the appropriate hub centric rings and a slightly overpriced set of lug nuts I was willing to buy but both items are "currently unavailable"
grrrrrrrr

Started the first process of re-finishing the wheels
Filled the curb-rashed areas with metal filler, Ill let it dry over night and pick up some sanding blocks from Home Depot tomorrow to move forward with em

Also if you noticed the "racing" decal inlays were yellowed by the sun and corroded and whatnot, so I popped em out and filled the holes with filler as well

Dropped an e-mail to that company
They made the rings available but didnt know when the lugs would be

So $21 Drag hubcentric rings 73.1->56.1, plus $20 cupon
= $1 set of decent rings ....score!!

Also tackled the center caps

Loosely set one togather so you get the whole picture

(Yes I accidentally drilled a hole in one of the enkei emblems, 100 points to who can guess how lol)

Hahaha, you win.

Seriously though, I couldnt pry the emblems out, so I got the smart Idea to drill a hole through to the back side and then punch the emblems out from the back. Only I didnt realize how soft the plastic was, and pffft .... right through. Next three went according to plan though

I recently purchased a 2.5RS also and love it!
Unfortunately I am only 17, and with a part time job and college starting in August, mods are hard to come by for me. But she is coming along pretty well. Good luck to you with yours also!

Completely looked over the fact that you said you got the ac line. Awesome, glad it worked out for ya. Came to you shipped ok? I took some extra precautions when packing it b/c fedex was my cheapest option but they arent known for handling with care

And I hear ya, Im 23, full time job, student loans, car loan and an apartment.
What I do is I recycle scrap metal on the side to make money to spend on the car, I also go to the local you-pull every once and a while, pull a bunch of parts cheap, and re-sell em on craigslist or locally to people I know need em for a little extra dough

So far I've tinted my windows to all around 20% lowered it with tein suspension, threw on some black Tenzo Mv1 17" wheels and Nexum 5000 tires. And a HID conversion kit to 8000ks.

Really liking the build thread. Just the headlights ruin it, there extremely tacky.
Also look into getting some Raceland coilovers. Cheap and very good
