Hello all. About a year ago I purchased a 93 Legacy L Sedan AWD Automatic with ~160k miles with a blown headgasket for $600. Rebuilt the whole top end, replaced all the major gaskets and such. Afterwords, the car was running like it was brand new. Then randomly one day the transmission begins to slip. Over about a weeks time it gets worse and worse until it was no longer drivable. I let the car sit for months while i bummed rides to work and such. Finally, I came across someone trying to get rid of another Legacy Sedan Automatic (this one a 1990). It has some motor issues and bad cv axles and a bad strut. I picked it up for $325 so that I could use the driveline. Got the car started enough to drive it around my cul de sac to confirm that the driveline works. Anyways at this point I now have the task of removing two drivelines and compiling everything into the original car. I have a garage, plenty of space, should have all the tools including air tools (somewhat weak compressor but it gets the job done). The only thing I don't have is an engine hoist. I have an electronic one but I can't figure out a good way to mount it in my garage.
So anyways, I could really use some local help from someone that has done the job before. I have pulled multiple engines, trannies, drivelines, etc but never a subaru. Closest would be my B5 S4. If anyone is willing to lend a hand or knowledge, I'm always willing to provide drink/smoke. Also if someone has a hydraulic hoist that i could borrow, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks! Tyler

Ya I've long been on AWD pirates, however I tend to have mixed luck over there. Sometimes they are extremely helpful, other times they basically tell you to f*** off. Thats why I'm looking for help anywhere and everywhere.
