Default Question on ABS Sensors

ok so my wifes car, 98 toyota avalon, has had an ABS light on since her struts got changed out. i did their little troubleshoot thing and got a code 34 which is the left rear wheel speed sensor. i pulled out her seat to ohm the connection for the sensor and got nothing, its showing open. i checked the other side, right rear, just to verify i could get a reading and i did. this should pretty much tell me i need to replace the sensor correct? just want to make sure before i get one cause they're pricey

well its kinda hard to check the wires themselves since its got a coating on them. the plug that i got an ohm reading on only goes to the sensor and right back, no where else. id be worried if i cut the coating off that it would get ruined later on
