Default Fastest Stock WRX 4eat 1/4 mile??

Ok- just wondering what the fastest time recorded to date is for a stock WRX Sportwagon with 4eat tranny is. My best time was a 15.27. The temp was around 80 deg and humidity 65-75%, 300 ft altitude (its Houston)The only mods on that day were:

synthetic engine oil
synthetic AT fluid
tranny oil cooler
rear muffler section removed with 2.5 inch downturn pipe
215/45 r16 Azenis (around 5-6% less rolling circumference than stock)
Iced the intercooler for 30 minutes prior to run
93 octane chevron with outlaw 104 octane boost (1 bottle)
ITG air filter element

Now this may sound chumpy compared to a 5spd 1/4 mile time but one of the car magazine reported a 15.1 (wagon also) and I have never heard of anyone else doing it.

Just for the record, stock means no NOS or other mods that alter boost levels, etc. I realize I'm not purely stock but reasonably close to it.

any other 4eat times out there?

There was a stock 14.5 run on here with a stock 4eat tho I don't know if it was a wagon or sedan (leaning towards the sedan),.

Was this with a brake torque? If so, to what RPM?

Yep, this is a good reference, but keep in mind that they're far from stock...the upgraded torque converter makes a big difference on our 4EATs

Default yes...brake stalling

I stalled the car to 3100 with brakes and a little hand brake.

I'd really like to hear more about that 14.5 4eat car in Kansas. It sounds to me like a chipped car. My reason for asking is to really find out what the optimal potential is of the 4eat in relative stock trim. I may need this for evidence at the SCCA national autocross event in the case of a protest.

could you give me the contact info of the gent with the 14.5 in Kansas?

Thanks for the input gang!

William

I would love to help you out on this one, but the stock 14.5 run was on this board, >not< in Kansas. It was right after the 1000 mile mark with a full brake torque. Ill try to dig up more details for you.

I've also got a SpeedMount on the way so I'll tape it as well.
(Unless I confused this with some other auto)

i dont trust gtech's anymore. my best 0-60 is at 5.63 and second best is about 5.85, but most of my 0-60's were at about 6.3-6.6 but ive had a few times that i recorded 0-60's at 7.1-8.5seconds. i broke torqued every time but i dont trust these machines any more. the thing is that i looked at the gtech and at my speedometer and right when it hit 60 the gtech stopped at 5.63seconds, but for an automatic wrx? hell no... i really doubt it. i have a few mods, 3 inch catback exhaust and racing muffler but i doubt that will give me a 5.63 at the tracks.
