props for getting a black subaru

just plasti dip the trim and badge in flat black. will look better than any vinyl and it's reversible.

Better than vinyl!? I'd disagree....( I'm biased cause I vinyl wrapped mine but I've used PD in the past)

Apologize for the ****ty camera work, the road is awesome and was littered with exotic vehicles and absent of police for over 200 miles the road is windy like this.

* Also what kind of prep work is required with plasti dip....Sanding???

No sanding required just clean it up nicely with some acetone and go for it. The stuff is amazing. Dries perfectly, really easy to work with. Car looks good, btw if you want to trade trunks for a wrx spoiler Im in Temecula

My god, I forgot what a pain in the ass it is to keep a black car clean! But Chrome delete done plus I painted the chrome side decal WRX black it was a real bitch!
Access port nameless axle back and perrin downpipes in the mail should be here tomorrow

How did you do the "wrx" on the side?

I got masking tape and taped off the entire area, then I got a pen and scratched it side to side on the tape covering the "wrx" to give me an outline, then I got an exacto razor and cut the wrx out then 15 layers of paint each time letting it dry fully to prevent any sort of dribbling

Nameless muffler delete on and it sounds great! Patiently waiting my access port should be here tomorrow along with the perrin foam air filter for now until I get the cobb sf cai

What did you end up painting the side trim with? Did you sand at all?

No sand, I went with plasti dip on the window sills, It looks exactly like the weather stripping but I wish I would have know to remove the tape immediately ha

There's actually a video floating around the internet somewhere on how to remove the trim from our cars. Debating if I want to take the time and do that or just paint it on the car. SWP is a lot less forgiving with black paint I'm sure.

The worst part of painting the car was the taping. However, I really do not think it would be worth removing it as the was a quick and easy mod to do. I recommend it to anyone!
