You know, for 45k you can have a decent do-it-all fleet. My pick would be a Fiat 500 abarth for commute to work, some kinda performance car for fun, and a cheap 4x4 truck for winter.

Head studs are stretching under boost, at least thats what the problem is believed to be at the moment.

The cheapest sedan I can find around is 43,500. Could probably get to 41k.

Do you NEED a tune that pushes your car so hard? Maybe if you have the tuner back it off a bit your car can spend more time on the road and less time in the shop.

Tuneds backed off. I have a 22psi tune and an 18. I run the 18. I get it if I get 10psi. Doesn't matter. It's a more common problem than I originally thought. Even stock STi/WRXs that have seen track time have had this problem.

Is what it is. Basically the choice now is do I build the motor, and just jump all in. Or cut bait, lose a ton of dough and walk away. Likely a motor will be built and 400-450 will be made daily. It's basically the last thing I need to do to the car anyway. That, interior, and paint. Everything else is done. Oh and freaking spacers, I need to do those.

Personally I'd cut my losses and get what I really want, in your case a CTS-V. It'll always nag at the back of your mind won't it?

Used 09+ go for 43+ and around 40k at auction. Wagons are more due to rarity. It is going to take about 9800 to get to 700whp in that car. Black diamond on black with Recaro's in a 6 speed is hard to find.

Once you start modding that car, that reliability might not be there. Ultimately, your decision is based upon what you can afford and what you need from the car. Regardless, you'll lose money in either case, with a greater loss if you buy a luxury car. I thought about buying a C300, but if I sold my GR, I would probably buy another bugeye and save myself a car payment.

And most cars have parts bin parts. Hell, even the radio harness matches another car, and it's not that uncommon for different automakers to see that.

Dont get me wrong both are awesome choices, and I love them both. But 556 hp?!? lol
not to go further but I am excited for the new cts v/ and especially ats-v have to offer the competition, considering how good of a job they really did with the prior cts v.
