Seeing though as you went with BC BR Coilovers, please don't cheap out on a meth kit in the same vein cuz 1 little hiccup with a cheap kit in meth injection = blown motor..... aquamist ftw

BC Coilovers and Rotas go hand in hand like peanut better and jelly. I recommend Grids.

Wheels and better coilovers. You can get used KWs for a little more than the BCs

i agree. ive had bc in the past and its a coilover that WILL need to be rebuilt. They ride ok compared to stock but will begin to squeek and require maintenance. Im gonna shoot for kw or bilstein

yeah, always research, these so called "performance shops" half the time know nothing besides picking **** out of a parts catalogue.

why are you going meth? is this a street driven car? seem like more **** to go wrong.

the bc's are literally only good for a drop, stiffer isn't better, they will ride a bit rough. when you finally get a ride in a car with quality coilovers you'll see why people on the forums are so adamant about spending a bit more on quality coils.

you will be happy with the BC. I know eople are telling you this that and the other. Yes there are better ones out there. But there are 100s of people on here running the BCs as I did as well with zero issues at all. My buddy has run his now for 60,000+ miles no complains, noises, or problems. They are a good coil over for just lowering the car.

Not cautious enough driving in the fog with virtually no visibility. Thought I was on a straight road that went for miles, but by the time I realized it was a hair pin right, it was way too late... Hopped a curb, jumped a sidewalk, landed into an uphill slope, uprooted a bush and sent it flying 20 feet, kept sliding up the hill and to the right for a good 60 feet until I hit head-on with someones brick wall and broke the entire thing like 10 feet across.

Thank God my passenger was fine and we both got out no scratches. Airbags didn't even deploy. Subie did a good job sacrificing itself

About $13k in damages and some minimal frame damage but insurance still wrote it off as a total loss. So we'll see what happens next...

Glad to hear everyone was safe, and that Subaru is living up to its name as a safe car.

That being said better to have insurance total it than have a frame damage car.

Thanks for the kind words And definitely. Impact didn't even hurt at all (although that might be partly thanks to adrenaline since I dont even remember hitting the brick wall haha), but I still wasnt sore or anything after. I was more worried about the passenger anyways. The frame damage was incredibly minimal, but frame damage is frame damage...

Can't decide between '14 WRX, '06 STi, or a BRZ for the next Subie

Get a 14 WRX, you'll miss the power with the BRZ and RWD is probably not the best option in harsh weather. 06-07 STi are a great bodystyle, I miss my hawkeye no doubt but good luck finding a low mileage clean hawkeye that's not modded for a decent price. Only low mileage ones I've seen that are clean still go for 24-28k.

Good points. I'm in Socal so it's not a huge deal going without AWD, but the power will definitely be a let down. Insurance is paying out almost $28k so that leaves about $24k before taxes for a car. I'm gonna try to find that one jem but it's going to be hard... Anything around 60k miles is good enough for me since I only drive about 8k a year. Not sure I want the same car, might be time to move on :\ And the Hawkeye has always been my favorite year. But I love the ass of the hatches so I have absolutely no idea what to do lol.

Here's a pre-crash pic to stay on topic
