nice ride! i see you bought youer car at shortline off havana. I just ordered a 5 door white STi hatch from there two days ago. just curious what your experience was like? they said they liked my 09 wrx and would give top dollar for the trade in 12 weeks when my STi comes in, but I am hoping they dont try a bait and switch.

How much fender and camber work were required to stuff those 18x10's with 265s ? How does the 10" wheel feel on the road? You experiencing any null turn in or scrub radius problems with that width?

Hahaha Nah man! We were both surprised, especially since DJ (red WRX) doesn't usually have his WRX out during the day.

That's sad about red disappearing before Blue Pearl. I think they need a new gray (replacement) and a less orangey red.

my wife's Yaris was totaled last week so we decided it would be a great time to upgrade. We have a 2011 Lightning Red STi that should be here anyday now! Will post more pictures once it arrives.

Not gonna lie, if red disappears I'll be pissed. I was looking for either a SWP or LR hatch when I was shopping around.

yeah it is a huge upgrade lol. I used to have an 03 EVO that was making 421HP/454TQ on E85 but sold it to buy a house about 2 years ago. Now I will be glad to be back into an AWD turbo vehicle again.

Kyle, have you seen a single SWP WRX in Alaska? I've only seen the STI in SWP as a sedan. I knew I should've gotten that color! People were telling me no, but I've always wanted to own a white car. Damn them! There are a bunch of DGM WRX around town...

Wow!! You must be be related to me . Sold my 03' apex silver beastly evo on meth about 2.5 years ago. Brought a house and a honda fit sport. Got married. And a few months ago ordered a '12 pbp sti. Still waiting for it to come but will be glad to return to boosted awd goodness.

ha. I am sure many people have similar stories. I sold my fast car and bought a house then got married as well. We were planning on ordering a 2013 STi next year and trading in the Yaris, but well insurance changed that for us. Found this 2011 Lightning Red STi for a great deal so we jumped on it. I still have my s2000 which is a fun car to drive, but still doesn't beat that AWD turbo car feel.

Just a roll and pull on all 4 corners. The lip is about flush with the fender laterally. They probably look smaller in the pics because the offset is +38, not the normal +18 you see on most xd9's. They are just what I wanted, not too agressive but still wide and agressive enough to fill out the fenders.

The new setup felt different when i first rolled off the lot with it but now i've gotten used to it. It kinda dives into turns a little more readily now, not sure if that is because of the slight stretch on the tires or the wheels themselves. It actually feels great and definitely feels more planted than the stock wheels. Also, for some reason the shifting got smoother with these new wheels on, not really sure how that happened but i'm not complaining. No rubbing even at full lock as of now. Definitely satisfied with the setup and IAG's work.

Thats awesome Jive. Good idea, don't want people to think you own that turd cutter and it promotes drunk driving awareness. Me like.

sorry by no means am i calling the wheels small i was just expecting a tighter fit with those specs. from the pics it looks liek the fender work has definitely given you some wiggle room. i think you achieved what you set out to do, nicely done.

No offense taken, I thought they would be tighter myself. I think so too that it looks like i could go a little lower without problems, just add a little more camber. I'm at around 2 degrees all around so adding a little wouldn't hurt anything. Thanks for the kind words.
