Finally did a bucket wash, not a thorough one, but decent. Needs a clay bar badly and then I have to get on chip repair

Hooked up my AP the other day. Was checking to see if the boost levels on the AP and the Prosport gauge match. The prosport was 2+ psi under. Im gonna get something else to replace it in the future..

I think it's hit or miss honestly. I've had a few issues with my gauge, where the needle reeds +7-8psi higher than the actual value... But unplugging the sensor cable from the sender and plugging it back in seems to reset it. Other than that, mine has been accurate to like 0.5psi, which is not bad for a $80 gauge.

Though I will say I will be buying a defi or something to replace it in the future :P

My only defi complaint is that it doesn't dim/brighten with the gauge cluster . Other then that.... Good to go

i should clarify about the old part. Everytime I see an article about how bad prosport is, it always from 09-10 and older! I really hate seeing bad reviews about a product I just bought online, that goes for anything in life lol. but hey worst case scenario, I can always sell this one like I did my spt gauge and buy a defi.

PIC for relevance... Subaru DEFI

I believe DEFI to be the best available option. I use/have used and have hands-on experience with Prosport, STRi, GReddy, and DEFI gauges.

- I would suggest considering STRi... slightly cheaper option than DEFI (http://www.rallysportdirect.com/STRi...mm-Boost-Gauge). They have color options, peak warning, recall, etc. Only downside is still high price, and the recall button has to be mounted somewhere. Google them,
or PM me...The STRi boost gauge I have pics or vids of in my Legacy.

- GReddy doesn't offer the 'standard' assortment of gauges anymore, but I would also consider those if you like larger gauges and features.

- If the thought of pricey gauges doesn't interest you, your option is Prosport. The Prosport I have used were fairly accurate, except in resent times- either noisy, or past- stop working properly. Their quality may, be improving.

Yeah, don't. My Prosport Evo series boost gauge is way off compared to the bumpers from my AP, and the EGT gauge just crapped out. Might be I will be looking into getting some Defis here sometime.

^think of trying to get it to catch while you're there... it may be more irritating than fun.

That's why I like my aem gauges. I have them wired to the cluster dimmer, plus they have built it light sensors and adjust themselves.

My Prosport boost gauge worked for about a year before it started to crap out. I checked and recrimped all of all my connections and even purchased a new boost sensor, that fixed it for about 4 hours before that sensor died too. Got that sensor replaced by Prosport, plugged it in, didn't work at all. Ripped the gauge out and replaced with a Defi.

It's not a matter of IF a Prosport gauge/sensor will die, it's a matter of when. They look decent, but the quality isn't there, and they're not very accurate either.

So Defi seems to have stopped selling the gauges with US readings (psi, *F, etc). This the case or do I just need to search harder?

I have the SPT trim. I like it. Better than the cheap metal that comes stock for 2011's.

That's why I plastidipped mine, the silver looked especially bad on SWP.
