question for you guys, i jus installed my SPT boost gauge, now at idel when the car is warm it read 19-20 for vacuum, and about 14-15 for boost (im stock mind you) does this sound right??

boost is about right. my gauge is usually around 21 at warm idle and 19ish with ac on

yeah at idle when the car is completely warm it really sits at 19 or inbetween 19 and 20. i jus wanna make sure thats normal, and boost at around 14-15. thanks guys!

ok another question i installed the gauge so im driving (mind you im new to boost too) i only hit peak boost at wide open throttle??? not when im going through driving normal up to like 5k rpms? (not WOT)

sorry for the retarded questions.

That's normal man no worries. The amount of boost is directly related to how much engine load there is. WOT is where the most engine load is therefore that's where peak boost is as well.

but even so think about it, if you're not accelerating hard or going up a sever incline where the car needs to boost why would it be hitting peak boost around town?

i average about 9-17lbs dd'ing the car. rarely will i ever see the 22lbs unless i want to make someone go deaf or go fast
