And worth every penny. They actually manufacture most of the wheels for the Porsche cup cars. Forgeline is an awesome company withe a great product. You get what you pay for with wheels. They are inline with HRE and others of that category.

I'd put my car away if I had a beater for the winter too. Especially if I had an STi.

While awd can be fun in the snow it's nice to keep a new car looking good without getting all chipped up and working under the car for many years is much nicer if you don't drive it during the winter. I also came from driving a truck so I really need to be careful not to destroy my front bumper this winter because of how low the car is.

You guys waiting for cars should come on down to Dallas. The dealers here have 2013 WRX/STIs in stock and seem to be willing to deal.

Unless their 18x9"+ wheels are less than 18lbs a piece, kinda overpriced in my opinion and paying mostly for the brand. $5000 for a set of wheels is just crazy when I think about it, don't think anyone can argue with that :P

They are and the price vs value argument of a wheel like that is very hard to have on a Subaru forum...

Their target market is not someone who daily drives their $25-35k car. If you are a race team that needs a high quality, built to spec wheel then it makes sense. Or just someone with money to spend who knows what they want.

yeah, it's been a few years since i had to run winter / summer sets. i'm in the military, so October - April works for me. this is old school "sleeves up / down" in the army. plus i will forfeit regular tire rotations as well.

they marked my OEM's when they took them off so i know how to put those back on. they barely had 3k on them. when these come off, same.

we are supposed to get snow tomorrow. i already switched to the stage 2 + SF economy map too. -i got pro-tuned a couple weeks ago but we'll go back to playing in the spring.

-chet

ETA: i'm seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on the same exhaust your running before it gets too cold. LOL
