STi skirts review (I should do a side by side pic comparison):
The replicas are not a bad option, but do not compare in quality to the real deal.

The real are very well made, and painted semi-gloss black. Fully finished FRP with the STi emblem in place, and double sided tape on the backside of the flare. Plenty of quality hardware to mount and fit perfect.

Replicas have less mounting points, an unfinished FRP backside on the flare where the STi emblem. Unfinished means tape doesn't stick well. The replicas require you to tape the STi emblem on. Comes with double sided tape to put near pointing points. Not a perfect fit, but will look decent.
Before I saw the replicas, i was going to buy htauto bottomline skirts. Which should I go with. Replica or htauto? Both are in the price range I'm looking for

Love that exhaust. Not sure about the exhaust finishers, tail lights, or head lights.

Yeah.. the headlights aren't that bad. They are the same as on MY07 WRX. The exhaust finishers I can get use to but not those tailights.

Well, I contacted JapanParts and the parts themselves were right around $750. So I would have to also pay, taxes, shipping and customs garbage. RSD had them instock and ready to go. Honestly, I ended up paying near what it would cost from JapanParts but I received it x2 faster as they were already in the states. Their 20% discount for black friday made it a no brainer for me.

JP has them at almost 700. Shipping would be close to 200, and customs would be no more than 20. Thats quite a difference. That black Friday discount was the steal.

The tail lights actually look world better in person. It has a darker shade than in the photos and actually looks really good with the wrb color. I like the exhaust finisher look lol. It makes the rear more aggressive to me. But that just my opinion.

Posted this in the Hatchback thread, might as well whore it out here too.

Newest picture. Taken with iPhone 5 and 2 exposures merged in Photoshop. Then messed around with contrast, brightness, and what not. Still learning PS and loving it.

I think it turned out not bad for a cellphone and newbie PS skills. Maybe a little overdone (constructive) criticism welcome

Here was my take (plasti-dip). I liked the finishers as well, but didn't like the fact that they stood out so much in contrast to the rest of the bumper.

"Look better in person"? About 50% of this thread owns a 08+ hatch, we know they don't.

The 20% discount was pretty much only on the side skirts. The rest of the sight had like a 5% discount on everything with select deals here and there.

I like the dipped matched finishers. Good call leaving the "hardware" silver too. I may have to try that on mine. I don't think my Cobb CBE sticks out far enough to warrant the finishers though.

Yup. That why I immediately bought some red vinyl from B@t.

I did the same thing, did you have trouble tightening the screws without tearing the plasti-dip?

Ball so hard...

$136.00 ticket for passing a cop in the nearest lane while he was pulling someone else over.
I was doing 10 under the speed limit mind you. feels like a trap, I should know better.
