New wheels for winter. They're Drag DR9 17x7 +40. For wintertime I really like them. Just need to get my Blizzaks put on.

Yeah. They just came out with them in 18x9.5. Wanted to see what they look like first before I back out of a GB for rpf1s

Be the first, rpf1s are overrated. I'm slowly talking myself into regular Awesomes.

For the same size RPF1's are lighter than the Mach V wheels. I think they look a bit better too but neither look great IMO. The Mach V have the benefit of dual drill (in 17x9" only) and they clear Brembos without a spacer. I'm tempted to swap to RPF1's someday. I tentatively listed my Mach V's for sale but haven't had any interest.

I'm with you, but the job was done pretty cleanly, I'm kinda wondering if it might end up looking awesome.

to the OP, pics on car or never happened

I think it would look better with the STi intake manifold maybe, or perhaps with cosworth

Honestly I think it would look awesome from a front on point of view, I just think it'll look weird when you're actually looking down through the grill. Not to mention all the rain going straight down on top of the engine... Haha

creativeness and effort are in the piece...

If the function is the concern: The lower meshed portion of the scoop appears to allow any the escaping to be directed at the TMIC. If appearance is the concern: Aesthetically, no one would get a glimpse of anything worth viewing.

Looks like a great way to vent some heat from the engine bay.
