Hey guys ima be getting my calipers powder coated next weekend. Is there some gasket between the two halfs that would need to be replaced or is it reuse able. I feel like it would addsomecolor to a side view of the car, palm on going red.

Overall, pretty happy but I need to play around with the settings more and figure out a better technique.

I hate the chrome lights but dont like the look of the full blacked out headlights. I really want to some 2008-2011 headlights I think they are the perfect mix of black and chrome.

I want to give these a shot for my turn signals. But they are on backorder

looks good!

honestly i'm not a fan of LED's in the headlights. i dont like the turn back (white but turn amber when blinker is on) i like the amber glow at night contrasting, i hate when everything is the same color up front. if i were you i would jsut get stealth bulbs. they are normal bulbs that glow amber but they have a dark chrome coating so the bulb doesn't look amber in the reflector...

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...ALT-detail.htm

thats just my opinion though, you can do LED's also but you'll need a new blinker module to fix the hyper flashing.

i jut did a mod on my BRZ that some of you might be interested in. its 80$ and replaces the blinker module with another one(literally plug and play) and what it does it make your blinkers tap blinkers. so like if you tap the talk it will blink 3-4 times depending how you set it up. so you dont have to hold it, or click it and un click it. its great for highway driving and etc...also it will fix the hyper blinking any LED would cause the blinkers to do...here is hte thread on ft86 if anyone is interested.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11529

what it looks like:

where to buy and item description:
http://www.autowindow.com/orderTAP.html

the guy that makes it posted in that thread and it should fit all year impreza's. i think its a great mod, and a luxury i really like plus i'm too lazy to use my blinkers half the time o tapping them make me actually use them.

i was thinking the same thing about the chrome bulb... where the signal reflector is painted i don't think the LED would be bright enough, and i agree, i really don't like the switchback leds, i have some nokya hyper yellow for my high beam/DRL, i decided not to stain the high beam bowl yellow like a lot of people, because overtime it turns brown (from heat).

I remember people doing this in the MKIV R32 forums back when I had mine. They called it the Komfort Blinker. Comes standard on most Audi models and newer VWs. Definitely a nice feature.

With that redline (9k rpm's) the 5 speed would have been able to take 4th up to 170!

Yes my diffuser is one piece. Although Varis indicates the diffuser as a three-piece because of the side canards that must be ordered with the diffuser. But to answer your question, yes the Varis diffuser is one huge piece.

Here's a better a look:

Curious why so many people do their tail lights in red and mask off the reverse lights (like you have to) but not the signals. I dunno about you but I really like being able to tell the difference between brake lights and turn signals, I find it strange that in 2013 there are still cars that have a single bulb or (even worse) separate bulbs that are both red for the brake and turn.

Aside from the aforementioned lack of clear on the turn signals, your car looks great (including the red tint), thildwrx. Is that paint or film?

I was actually really torn on masking the turn signal or not. In the end I like the look of the more red! I dont really like how it looks when you have both the turn signal and reverse light masked off, it looks like a person wearing a mask. lol.

Besides in regards to the contrast between turn signal and brake lights I dont ever see the back of the car while I'm driving, I only see it when its parked and I like the look better!

But thanks for the compliment on the car. I used dupicolor metal cast and automotive (standox/dupont) clear coat.
