we havent discovered all the details because the owner of the towing company is out of town but we are 99.9% sure the owner of the company will respond with "we are not liable" law suit waiting to happen. dont mean to get everyone off track i just thought everyone should really be aware of the huge damage improper towing can cause.

My older brother had his 95 Eagle Talon TSI AWD towed on two wheels back in 2000. Sued the towing company for the cost of repairs and won.

I've driven AWD cars for the last 8 years. I've had tow trucks show up without flatbeds before. Sent them on their way and continued to wait for the correct tow truck to arrive.

Definitely not something to mess around with.

wow. thats good news that he won. were not really sure how to proceed because it just happened last night. the car is brand new but were thinking the dealer wont warranty this work. it seems like hes gonna end up outa pocket then having to sue for the compensation

i believe this will be what makes them the most liable. if they didnt have to know about the car because of the obvious english written on the back of the car, then it's their fault

that box looks custom made. Their is a vendor on here (Audio Integrations) that makes a box looking just like that one. They have a group buy that just ended.

It's funny you guys are talking about that...I was in NOLA over the weekend and saw an MS6 about to to get towed. Had to run over and tell the tow truck guy it was AWD, these guys are absolutely clue less, they dont even bother to check.

MS6 would be a tough one to remember. Most all of Mazda's cars are FWD. All it would take for a tow truck driver is a quick look under the car to check though. Probably putting a bit too much faith in majority of those guys though

You would think that with something so crucial, companies would make it mandatory for their drivers to know what is what because that's a possible lawsuit whether the car is marked AWD or not.

I have had a car towed one time and the bastards managed to do $5800 worth of body damage. I get real touchy about tow trucks these days....

when my car was hit and the flat bed came i told the guy that i wont make it up the flat bed...he insisted to tell me i will and that its not an issue, i then watched him tie the car up and pull it up the flat bed...which let to him ripping off my front bumper and running it over with the 275's because he was on his phone. so then insurance also covered a repaint of the front and a new front bumper cover...

subaru roadside assistance are really nice, however when i was hit by the drunk driver, they DO NOT cover that kind of stuff it has to be a problem with the car incase you were wondering..
