Close to, if not slightly more than, 20% unless I'm mistaken. Awd eats the power

If you go by Subaru's claimed numbers wrxs are losing 10-15% since they seem to put down 220-240whp stock and stis are losing 20-25% lol. Probably the sti is just rated correctly and the wrx is underrated so it doesn't hurt sti sales too badly. Or the sti's lsds, heavier rotors and heavier wheels and tires just take their toll at the dyno.

For a good comparison I put down 327whp and 360tq when Bren tuned it. I threw it on a different dyno and it put down 292whp and 310tq.

Rosedaleny, def way better with the less lighting. I'm definitely going to be taking this route as well in due time. I like the stained high beams bowls, but if it were mine I would throw some yellow Halos around the HID projector as well. But looks super mean man!! I'd hate to be lookin back at that haha

Well if you spotted my post the other day you'll know that it just so happens that my new 4" H&S exhaust has started to melt the paintwork on my MY11 STI.

Partly my own fault, H&S sell with 3" pipes but seen load of new saloons (here and in the US) with 4" so asked Ian to make me one up in that size as they fill out the cut out in the bumper much better.

So a few weeks went by after fitting and all was fine, then whilst cleaning it the other day I spotted some burn marks in the cut out, I think it happened whilst I was stuck in a jam on the M25 and the car got a little warm sitting there.

So on the hunt I went for something and other then the HT autos ones which are more cosmetic and some silly money carbon ones in the US there was nothing out there that would help me out and stop it getting any worse, so I decided to make my own and really happy with the outcome.

Sourced some Magmashield
"By integrating aerospace grade polyimide technology with our in house extreme temperature volcanic fibre matrix, Thermal Velocity have developed a product which is not only superior in performance but boasts a carbon fibre appearance.

It reflects up to 80% radiant heat; it withstands up to 850F (450C) continuous temps; It is lightweight and easy to apply with a special high temp adhesive backing.

Excellent for air intakes, firewalls and any component needing protection from heat."

Cleaned up the cut outs.

Made up a template.

And job done.

And the troublesome exhausts in question.

Yet to see how it holds up but if it does what it says it should will be perfect, really nice product to use too with a very high end finish.

Cheers
Arron

Don't do it just 'cause other folks are doing it, I feel that's why many WRX/STi owners end up lowering their cars. Do it if you like white letters on your tires lol.

I'm not sure if peer pressure is the right term for it, but kinda? Though I guess smoking is a decent analogy for lowering your cars if you think about it.

Replaced my stock clutch pedal stop with something much thicker, leading to greatly reduced clutch pedal throw:

Had to adjust the clutch-starter safety button after. Now my clutch engages about a few mm from the end of clutch pedal travel.

I can't tell your serious.

There is a difference between people looking at a car and saying "I like this, I'm going to do it".... and someone smoking and another lighting up.

Anyway....

Does anyone have opinions on short shifters?
