@mwichtendahl you should be able to get a 2013 5dr Premium for around $27,000.

How much less would a used one be and what would your finance rate differ by?

@imprezaguy, According to what I am finding, used ones are going around 26,000... I havent talked to a finance person yet, but from what I can remember, you usually are able to get a better rate when you buy something new. I could be wrong though. Any one else have evidence that supports that?

If used are $26k and you can get a new one for $27k with a lower finance rate, I would go for the new one.

I bought new because the payment was lower because of the rate with a shorter term I'd buy new you never know what your going to get if you buy used

I have been planning on buying something used, especially since I want to mod it, and save some money. The problem is that the used ones (at least in my neck of the woods) are going for high $26,000's with 30,000+ miles (link: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=4&Log=0
Hope that works, granted this one does have iffy wheels on it, but that shouldnt change the price much.

Here is a 2011 with 13,000 miles for around the same price http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=2&Log=0

I just thought I would be able to pick a really clean, stockish WRX with 30,000 miles for around 22,500-23,000.

Do you guys think it just makes more financial sense to buy a brand new one? Usually you can get better financing and incentives when buying brand new and it might even work out to be cheaper in the long run.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Here is one with 17,000 miles and Buy it now is MORE than MSRP?!?!?! Are these dealers just trying to screw people?!

And another

Not meaning for this to be a rant, just looking for your guys' opinion as owners of these cars.
buying a new one is the best option...or even better wait a few months and see if the 2014 is any good

or buy my 2011 premium hatch lol

Such a shame this was my favorite thread...

But I have an Idea! If your going to post a question/arguement, post a Different picture of your car (or car related stuff like parts) every time you reply

I've wasted way too much time reading the side conversations, so I'm going to "try" to ignore them but post up pictures so the rest of us viewing are not bored as f***

ive seen used wrx's go for about a few hundred less then there worth, they seem to hold there value really well. financing used the lowest APR you can get is 4.2 (if your credit is great) and depdning on the deal that month the dealer can go 1.9 (like i have) on new cars. so it all depends on what you can do in the long run.

I'd call Heuberger about a price. I've had friends fly from OK to buy here and drive back, and it was still cheaper. They are the highest volume dealer in the US.

STI lip, window trim and S205 side emblems added. RCE springs are Sunday. 280 miles since yesterday.

Use truecar.com... When I was considering getting an 11, I used that and found some great deals by me and dealers willing to honor the prices... Decided to keep my 09 though...
