So I had my tail lights sprayed entirely with the VHT Night Shade spray, then Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel for the clear coat. Anyways, I don't think I'm diggin the all blacked out tail lights. So I'm gonna tape off the outer portion of the lights and take off the reverse section along with the turn signal and leave them clear. I plan on using nail polish remover that's acetone free. I don't want to ruin the plastic. Does anyone recommend anything else that might work better to get this off? Ill be liquid waxing and buffing the lights after obviously.

Goof off? BTW, you have the S206 replica side skirts, right? Can you take a few pics showing how far out they extend?

I don't have them, after talking with Flex'n, I'm just going to leave the car as is for now and buy the real s206 skirts with no rear aprons. The quality of the real ones is well worth it.

wrx SE badges came in. for anyone wondering they are an exact match of OBP paint. also it was no fun getting the adhesive off the panel after pulling the original off. mine was extremely difficult to remove.

^^Those badges look clean sick on your OBP!

Finally bought my first SLR camera... so much to learn. Today's lesson: bring a cloth if shooting in the rain because the lens gets covered in water drops

Thank you man means a lot coming from one of the greats

I had a chance to pick up a set of the OEM black housings from an older STi for dirt cheap but I like how the chrome ones look with my color combination so I kept em

What if I'm planning on buying better brakes down the road anyways? The covers aren't meant to be an alternative to better brakes, just to add a cleaner look. So I could potentially be making very good profits off of covers, as well as running better brakes. Why not a little of both?

EDIT: I can almost guarantee that the covers will sell better than my current products (CNC milled downhill skateboarding trucks) since the market is so much larger. You can take a guess at how successful my company is by looking at the amount of money I've put into my car. Imagine even more profits than what I'm making now. Pretty clear what I should do to me.

Buzzed Trucks, I've boarded a few times on Buzzed trucks... i found them very responsive and well designed! I'd trust/buy some of your caliper covers if when you sell them.

I too just bought an SLR. There is a lot to learn about shooting cars and just using the camera in general. Here are some that I shot today since the weather was nice

Were you setting your exposure manually or on auto? In some of the pictures the background is perfectly exposed but your black car is underexposed and looks like it's hidden in shadows. Really dig the first shot at the top

Haha I loved this shot. Did Ben snap that while we were on our way out there? Those provas look even better in person than they do in the pictures... and they look damn good in the pictures.

You might want to look into DSLR rain cover. It isn't good to let your DSLR exposed to water. It'll mess stuff up. Electronic + water = bad time.

Also for everyone with their new DSLRs check out Armin's sticky at the top of this forum.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1263892

Awesome info in there. It helped me make decent shots with my point and shoot and cellphone. I just got some birthday money, may try to get into a cheap DSLR setup. Thinking of a Canon T4i, Nikon 3100 or 3200.

I missed an opportunity to buy a Nikon D3100 with kit lens for $270. Should have jumped on that.

It wasn't raining hard but it did occur to me that it wasn't a great idea. Will surely pick one up, thanks for the tip I didn't know the solution was that cheap and easy

Will definitely check that out. Have seen it before but need to revisit it now that I got my camera.

I just picked up a D3100 and I'd say it's more than enough for a beginner and I'm very happy with it!
