Pretty significantly in this 98% humidity GA heat. My Perrin CAI runs all the way to the bottom of that fender area which is really why though. The shorter rams would probably not get the same effect.

It has been out since my FMIC install.

Alright, nice! I'll have to check out your member's gallery journal.

Pic to stay on topic!

It decreased intake air temps...does little to increase flow.
Did you keep your fender liner on that side? I've seen people run the open fog intake type mod and they end up blowing out there fender liner on the highway. Did you route any piping to the air filter on the CAI itself?

Just cutting the bumper for a FMIC can cause issues blowing out the fender liner at 120MPH+. It happened to me and has also happened to a couple local GR's recently. One pulled the entire fender liner out and tore up the actual fender (the aluminum part).

Is it an aerodynamics / air pressure issue, where trapped air at speed forces the liner to break at a weak point?

its a air flow issue. you can bypass it by putting a hole in the liner, its almost like a parachute effect. air goes in but hits the liner and forces it to catch the tire thus ripping it out.

Kept it and there is a hole in the back of it. I do not want any water spraying up directly on the intake filter...so keeping the liner is a must in my eyes. No piping.

This. I have had zero issues at 140mph+ speeds.

Did you have a shop install it? You could save a ****load of money by doing it yourself.

Cat back exhaust is an easy install but it helps to have a lift.
