as long as the tune is good, shouldn't have any problem holding 400/400. my car is holding almost 400wtq right now. it can be done, safe tune.

why he's running a 3.0 to get to 400/400 is weird. can be done pretty safely on a 1.5xtr on pump. ask rsutton or flexnwrx.

My car lasted a few months at a little over 400WHP on the stock motor. And that was on E85. RSutton and FLEX both have built motors with their 1.5XTR.

The powerband on the stock motor and DOM3 on pump isn't going to be very good. Hopefully you have a stronger motor and better fuel in your plan.

yea i was only referring to their cars because of the power made on the 1.5, they didn't make that on a stock block. but i think it can be done.

Here we go. Like I said I needed a quick alignment, I did everything over the weekend and they are the closest place to take it to on my lunch break while I'm at work.

Best skid plates out there!!!! I leave the front one on year around and put the rear diff on for winters. Great service and Paul Eklund is a great source of information for people who drive their subaru in all seasons and on all surfaces with some pace haha...

Yeah, built shortblocks generally won't add any power, they'll just last longer. I think rsutton was at 400WHP on pump and stock block for quite a while before he went to a built block. It's not that it won't make power, it just won't last. The DOM3 will probably do better in that regard (since it's a larger turbo making the same power).

My mom has a forester, and when it isn't in park (iirc), you can't change the equalizer and I think a few other things. If there were some issue with that with my car, I would find it very agitating. I hated it in her car, as if people are too stupid to handle safely changing the bass when stuck in rush hour traffic.
Equalizer works while driving. The unit works great!

this...also you have to remember that car salesmen are good for nothing, money/time wasting, chain smoking nuisances. If only you knew what salesmen do to the used cars, especially if they have access to the keys. Just to prove my point we had a salesman ask us what a driveshaft did.

Stock block 1.5: 392/387 for 22k miles at 21.5 psi
Built block 1.5: 417/430 for another 15k miles or so at 23.5 psi

Built block allows you to be more aggressive with the tune and still stay safe. On a stock short block there are certain parameters like timing and boost that you don't want to increase if you want to keep our fragile pistons in tact. That said...I haven't heard of many stock blocks going as long as mine did...so I wouldn't use that as a baseline at all. We were essentially waiting on it to snap.

More power is coming to my car soon though. I can't find any more mods to do so I have to go back to the butt dyno.

Yea I got 13,000km out of a stock sti block. And maybe 500-600km of those was stage 2. I got CP pistons in now and I'm thinking about going either Garrett 3071R or 2.5XTR. What do you think xluben?
