Homelink Auto-Dimming Mirror

I'm actually purchasing the car from Fred Beans so I can pick up the part with the car.

Also, just curious..how had is it to remove the illumination kit? The car has the option but with blue lighting. Wondered if it was an easy removal, if maybe I can trade for red?
