I hate to admit it but I am pretty excited about this car. Will have to setup a test drive in the summer.

It's almost like Cadillac is the Ford of general motors.

I saw the ATS in person yesterday and it was nothing short of stunning. Perfect RWD proportions and the mid grade option is a 270 hp turbo 4 with a 6 speed manual available. The best news is that GM kept the weight to 3400 lbs! FTMFW!

This car could make me eat my words and buy a GM product again

I heard in the video that the engine will be a 2.0 liter turbo.
Is that the top of the line engine or will there be something faster available?

Top of the line engine is the 3.6 literV6 from the CTS making 320 hp

Cha Ching

But no manual for the v6 in typical GM asshat fashion

I thought the exact same thing when I saw it in person.

CTS (CTSV); Regal GS; and ATS are the only GM vehicles that I ever consider purchasing.

I can't seem to get over the stigma that Cadillac still has regarding demographics. I know it's a personal hang up, but I don't want to feel like an old man at 33.

own an 09 CTS (w/37K on it) and really like the looks of the ATS.....my CTS is the garage queen at the moment...but it gets broken out on the weekends...daily drivers are the 12 Impreza CVT HB for me...and 11 Outback Prem for the wife....

They offer the manual with that engine in the CTS, and with a performance suspension. I test drove an '09, but it just wasn't quite as fun as an '09 WRX.

So there is no reason they should not offer it up as an option for the ATS. The 335, which this car directly competes with offers a manual, Caddy should to.

GM may reconsider and offer a manual, BMW doesn’t sell a lot of them but it is offered and that is what Cadillac is trying to compete with. Very interested if they decide to do an ATS-V and what it will have under the hood. TT-V6 sounds like a good option or perhaps they will go supercharged like Audi did with the S4.

An ATS V would have me eating my words to never buy a GM product ever again.

Of course, I could always buy one used...

NO NO NO, I have to hope ford drops that coyote V8 in a compact 4 door sedan like the ATS, but I am pretty sure I could not buy a Lincoln.
