Dude lookx cool - but I get the fealing that I would start to think its a bit much, after a while.
So which add-on let you customize XP that much? I've heard they are usually either a rescource hog or buggy - or worse, both!
Have you had any crashes/problems?

Argh... lemme guess. You right click, and those windows pop up?! If thats the case, the open source WindowMaker has been around forever. Ripoff.

Either way, it still looks cool.

I just switched from widowmaker to sawfish/gnome. I needed a new look and feel, after 4 years of the same desktop. The other change I made was from netscape 4.77 to galeon. Tab browsing pimps me...

Wow I can't bleave that no one recognised it. That is so clearly litestep (litestep.org). It rules. Its so much more stable now too. If I didn't have 3 monitors I would be running it. I don't have the time to customize it to work well with multiple monitors. Its not a rip off of window maker. There all based of the same thing, NeXT.

You cant say that it's "so clearly litestep"... man windowmaker and litestep look very similar.

Also, isnt it www.litestep.net ??

p.s. I want a NeXT cube It would be fun to mess with.

p.p.s Failsafe 0wnz all.

Alot of the Linux themes are ugly. Too many people get the flashy ones, and not the clean ones.

No, they're just not my cup of tea. Alot of Linux themes look like the amateur pieces of art that Impreza2 posted. Gradients should NOT be used as theme backgrounds. Looks tacky to me. Give me flat boring CLEAN 2D any day.

Well i agree with you on the flat boring GUI, but not for anything else, but that its faster - less graphics to load and keep in memory, less computation to do when displaying menus and such.
I personally think IMPREZAS2 first pic is quite nice - text is very easy to read (unlike the last pic), but that semi-transparents menu (why sweet lookin) has got to be a hog interms of CPU time.

Well it's like Luna v Watercolour. Luna is the current (default) winXP theme and Watercolour was the beta theme. It looked much better than Luna and it was flat CLEAN 2D.

Also, for Linux. I like KDE more than Gnome et al because they generally have cleaner themes.

litestep rocks, but honestly, the stock windows explorer is so damn keyboard friendly i don't have a compelling reason to switch anymore. i like my wrists, and the mouse/trackball is the enemy.

then again, i use straight enlightenment on my linux boxes (it's pretty, damn it)
